The biggest difference between e-sports and regular sports which favors younger players is that there are constant technical changes in e-sports. For example, every patch champion base stats change. In regular sports, the ball size never changes, the goal never changes… So older players in e-sports have experience, but sometimes that experience is on outdated information which could lead to sub optimal outcomes compared to fresh perspectives. The closest example we have of that in traditional sports, is an American basketball, when Steph Curry came into the league, and every player who used to specialize in a mid range jump shot shot is now completely obsolete. Players in both esports and regular sports tend to develop their plays style at a young age, and it is very rare for them to be able to change that play style enough as they get older to withstand major changes in the meta.

If you play blitz jg again you should try it with Navori next time. greatly speeds up clears and in later team fights the enemy usually underestimates you being able to spam q 3 times in a fight. After quickblades its enough that you can go tank or you can gamble and go full critcrank.

1:12 when you start talking about multi tasking and how sometimes you can and sometimes you I can't. I found out that I struggle after playing 3+ games. It's like getting drunk. You don't realize your inhibitions have gone, and with league It's like you don't realize you are mentally functioning at a lower level than you are capable of. More games means more losses imo.

league you have to be proactive, even in fights so your "reactions" look immediate, you see the ability coming, you can insta cleanse, a cracked 16 year old isnt actually intelligent in the game GENERALLY like the veterans of the game, but ofc theres more to it than that, age means nothing if reaction times are not the topic of the argument

Bro I honestly don’t know how you guys do it. I started playing ranked for the first time few days ago and there are just so many bad players. Not only that but seriously they are just so damn toxic and annoying. Constantly pinging and talking smack like non stop. I waited this long because I had a feeling it was gonna be like this. I honestly don’t even enjoy the game anymore. I might just stop. Idk what to do. Please help. Like legit I’m not a bad player and I just mute myself and others now. But how do you climb when you constantly get bad players on your team?

Another thought about the optimal age for being a professional-in a lot of different spheres-is that most people haven't fully matured mentally or emotionally by their early twenties, especially young, male gamers. I would venture it helps to work with people who are a little bit older. Maybe their egos are more in check, and they just have more life experience overall. I would imagine it's MORE of a liability to manage the drama of professional eSports teams comprised of boys who are just barely wrapping up their teenage years. Many League players can barely make it through a loss without having a small temper tantrum. That kind of juvenile behaviour is not conducive to being a professional at all. It's hilarious to think that a dominating conception in this industry is that being in your mid or early twenties is 'old'. Ironically enough I think it reveals a lack of wisdom in the community.
