I have my unit outside (live in Ca) in some months i do see algae in first stage, but can’t keep it in the house.... rodi outside is probably better then no rodi at all.
Would it be a better idea to run two sediment filters and just one carbon filter I don't think where I live they have much chlorines or chloramine but obviously I want to treat the few it does
I intend to replace my old coralife/esu unit with this or the six stage unit very soon. I have very low quantity needs only need a 30 gallon brute every 3-4 weeks. I understand keeping the membrane wet is important, besides that any tips specific to people who aren’t producing a lot with their units?
You'll be just fine. As long as you store the unit with the canisters full of water, none of the filters will be able to dry out during short term storage or non-use. Just remember to flush the membrane for a few minutes each time you start making water again 🙂
75 GPD should do the trick in most cases. Very few reefers actually use more than 75 gallons of water in a single day aside from when they first fill up the tank.
You'll want to test your waste water for chlorine or chloramine (depending on what your city uses). If you see that show up in your waste water, then you know you have breakthrough and need a change. If you're on well water, we'd suggest changing them out every 6 months or so
Hi. Old video. Bout coment : may opionon 2 prefilter 1 micorns , 0.5 microns finals prefilter , change frist prefiltre 1 2 months , dependeg wather qualyti. Saves money. 3 and 4 filter carbons block , is beast combination. In case hard wather 3 filter use dedurizations , 4 filters carbon block. Sry may english not very well 😅
