Coming back to look at some finals throughout the years, it more or less becomes clear that BECAUSE Red Bull is a business about sports and spectacular athletes that they can market, it makes sense they didnt choose Bruce. He is a once in a lifetime unique bboy, one that the main world audience won't understand. Victor is like a classic bboy and his moves are in a sense "understandable." You gotta really love the art to understand what Bruce is doing. That's just my 3 years late 2-cents, peace.

Victor didn't deserve it. He repeated FOUR TIMES THE SAME FREZE during the competiton and THREE TIMES THE SAME FREEZE DURING THIS BATTLE !!! at 1:14 , 2:11 and 3:23 and almost at 4:09 !! Moreover, Bruce Almighty is more original but not less technical. Bruce really should have won this edition of Red Bull BC One :(

Clear victory for Bruce oh yeah if you didn't watch the whole event you would not really understand how bad Vic lost. This was a political win for victor they just didn't want to Buffalo Bills Vic so they gave it to em. He lost in every category of b Boying in this battle and still won the crowd said it all chanting Bruce Bruce Bruce!! When the judges announced there vote only people who had an allegiance to Vic cheered and the whole damn venue cheered for Bruce every time he got a vote whether they loved him or hated him he earned that fair and square. Bruce walked right out after focus vote and he is a chill dude, this is one of those times where Vic should have handed Bruce the belt and said you deserved this more then me cause you beat me fair and square it would have spoken volumes for Vic. But hey! 2015 the year of politics

I always come back and watch this battle and every time Bruce’s sets become more cool. His last set was so awesome he should of won on that one alone. Victor did so many repeats and same freeze over and over. Really want Bruce to come back and get the belt he deserves!

this feels like the same shit when roxrite won 2011...he didn't actually deserve it but he's been trying for so long that they basically rigged it for him...totally unfair...there's no way bruce lost that night he was amazing and showed some things that no one ever thought of before...the only round that victor actually took was round 4...the rest was bruces all the way

I don't even know anymore. I was really excited for this event and was enjoying it, but that decision in the final battle was very disappointing. I honestly thought that Bruce was the clear choice. He executed his sets very well and was overall very clean. Victor's sets were sloppy, repeated the same moves and transitions, and as well his execution was quite poor as the battle progressed. Overall, I completely disagree with Wing, Lamine, and Focus's decision. I truly respect them, but I feel like they misjudged the battle.

Never misappropriate hip hop culture. What happen that day was an upset to some, but a realization for others that bboying is truly an art form that lives in hip hop culture and not something abstract. I don't care who repeated or who crashed, but if you look at Victor's movements compared to Bruce's, who would you say truly brought hip hop culture to the dance floor. It is time that people stop doing whatever movements they want and calling it bboying. That has been a serious debate for many years now, and I think those of who talk about creativity and style winning over powermoves should do some more homework. You should realize that Vic has been doing some serious research in regards to the moves he puts out on the floor. Many styles coming from Battle Squad, LA Breakers, MZK, and RSC are all in effect. He does is best to translate the foundational moves of bboying into his own style. On the other hand, I cannot find what history or culture Bruce is putting on the floor. Yes, the moves he does are very creative and abstract, but what vocabulary is there to truly call it bboying? If I were to do those exact same movements, would I really need to listen to the break of a beat? Listen to his movement and the music in the video. Would I actually need break music at all? Ask your self that question, for many real bboys realizes the music is the skeleton for their styles. Victor showed that each round, as much as he knew he had to repeat moves, he consistently stuck to the movements he knew were right. Don't hate him for that. Your better off hating Bruce for not putting enough bboying into his runs. I feel sorry for the judges too; they know their history and culture, yet they will always be criticized for staying loyal to it. Where living in an age were we have to accept the diversity in styles and approaches to the dance, yet that should never be compromised for the integrity required for staying true to hip hop culture.
