I saw Bruce Channel do this in 1962. I had been to the Mardi Glas in New Orleans and had returned with a pint of Early Times whiskey. I was 16 years old and bought the bottle in a Walgreens drug store. Took it to the Rock n' Roll show and drank it with a friend or two. Got quite drunk and had a wonderful time.

There's a couple who are professional swing dancers called Nils and Bianca who do a fantastic dance to this song. I haven't heard this tune since I was a little kid riding with my parents in the early 70s, but that swing act brought me here. Go check them out. They honor this song's essence in their performance.
