The Chemical Wedding: One of the GREAT heavy metal albums ever made. A unique and sublime work. I’m a Maiden fan from 1982 on, and it’s my opinion that nothing they’ve done since 1988 has come close to this masterpiece.
The Chemical Wedding is indeed a masterpiece, and I'd say Bruce was at his absolute peak vocally during this era too. Everything was just clicking on that album, the songwriting, the production, the vocals, the lyrics and the overall atmosphere. Great stuff.
That face!! 😍 Bruce at his' hottest during the short hair era. He really is the Metal God for all eternity. Chemical Wedding is pure class from start to finish.
I agree! I’ve not seen a guy look hot with long hair and fringe and even more gorgeous with short hair. Both really suit him. Now he’s older I think short would look great on him again.
Maiden missed Bruce but in terms of songwriting they missed Adrian a lot more. All the pressure was suddenly on Steve to come up with songs and he hit a wall having used so much great material in the 80's
@@thebestofu-tubebytheresaes5189 funny you should say that as he was quite interested in my wife (at the time) he spoke to her but ignored everyone else. It was after a gig in Dudley, England in 1995, he came out to meet the fans of which there were about 20 people. Blaze Bayley was there he was chatting with everyone and had a pint with me. Fantastic gig, balls to Picasso was a brilliant album.
the respect he has for maiden at that time when not even a full year later he would be back in the band with Adrian.. but I can see why people make comparisons cause People dog down Virtual XI, & Praise Wedding with grandeur...it's Bruce being back in the metal limelight... I really think Broken & Silver Wings could be played by maiden live ... it's got maiden written all over it!!!!
He was already back in the metal limelight with "Accident of Birth", which came out 1 year before "Chemical Wedding". And if he should have one of his songs in Iron Maiden's shows, then it is actually "Road to Hell"!!!!!! THAT song's got classic 80s Iron Maiden written ALL OVER IT!!!!!!!!! And no wonder, as it is written by Bruce and Adrian! It's even got that classic Iron Maiden sound, guitar solos and energy!!!!!!! NO other songs from Bruce's solo career sounds like that!!!!!!
Chemical Wedding is a very Dark album..finding out Bruce Dickinson got inspired by Aleister Crowley made all the sense in the world since Crowley is the Father of Ocultism and esoteric practices =Black Magic
Actually Bruce's "Accident of Birth" and "The Chemical Wedding" albums were incredible and recieved great rewiews. They were MUCH BETTER than Iron Maiden's two albums from that same time.
