I feel I can reach him. I used to think like this I went along with it because my family is Christian and it sounded beautiful but at 8 years old something was telling me it has to be real because I am going along with it so I accepted Jesus and I knew it was real all along because I just didn't arrive out of thin air and I felt it but growing up I just thought it was a beautiful thought. Amazing things happen when you accept Jesus, You become invincible in a way when you accept him because nothing can stop him when you accept him. Praise The Lord and I keep praying for Bruce he is also the Lord's child and we should as Christians show him the way to heaven. Rock on Bruce.
Very thoughtful observations. I'm reminded of a quote by the existentialist philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre: “That God does not exist, I cannot deny. That my whole being cries out for God I cannot forget.”
I think, that Bruce might have chinged his mind in the wide range...This video is quite old, but still assures me, that this person is a great individual. You basically keep all your life searching, if you want to search. I am so happy and prayed so much for Bruce to come back after that horrible illness which could have led to the end of his earthly life. When I listen to the interviews now - he has changed a lot.
Bruce Dickinson is one of the most talented musicians on Earth. I´ve followed Iron Maiden since 1980. Shame that this man haven´t met Almighty God. As if he had, he´d be thankful for his gift. God bless man even if you don´t believe. You will at some point.
@ the bit where he's talking of kids being a wondrous experience he actually made me cry. I wonder whether he's aware that for many ppl HE and HIS MUSIC is religion.
I have heard lots of Bruce's interviews but this one is the best I have ever seen or heard . What a fantastic , great , wise man is Bruce ! Why is this interview so short I want more and more and more these wise words from Him ... :)
Maiden is great, I am a Christian who loves metal and some of their songs seem to be biblical based and spiritual, I love Sign Of The Cross and I see in a sneaky way they are warning people against evil and the devil. Steve Harris is a born again Christian and I think one of the drummers they have had or have is a Christian.
Cause they are satanists and believe in satan, although they pervert the bible message. And with their satanic propaganda they hope other will be following the rabbit or the pipper. Just lsten to the banda that spoke about rituals or talking to alliens and stuff like that. They are really into satanism. Even when crimes and sacrifices have all the signs of satanic rituals, they always say t was not satanists. But of course it was satanists, normal people don’t summon demons with rituals and meditation, they do that
It's great to hear Bruce's theroy.myself I believe in the creator.grace that is free flows through us.has ever felt an angel.?I have felt grace also I met an elderly man his speech slurred lived in poverty who i did not judge.was thrown into my path was special a gift to me lifted my spirit.he was taken beaten to death . why?
When I was a child I was terrified of infinity.a life skills coach told me no one can read your mind we can only sense what a person is feeling or thinking
Bruce is a deep guy clearly. He is completely right that spirituality is a very personal and individual thing. That is why organised religion is on the decline. I don't know about all countries, but I think Europe is gradually returning to it's spiritual roots before the Romans brung the dark ages upon us. The fact that some religious folk think Metal is "Satanic" just shows that they can see that Metal has helped move people away from their clutches. I remember they used to think the Beatles and Led Zeppelin were Satanic too! The world has conquered Christianity, not the other way around.
Just to give you an example of what atheists have done where I live...and I would also have to add in liberal multiculturalists. For years they wanted religious symbolism removed from public schools, primarily Christianity of course. Now some of those same schools are allowing muslim prayer rooms and prayer times. The atheists and liberal multiculturalists are silent. That's just one example. Recently a university shut down it's multi-faith chapel, but is expanding a muslim room. An aspect of culture is a belief system, religion....many in western countries seem to enjoy tearing down that value, but you and I both know the others coming into our countries are not giving up theirs. I don't have a problem with an atheist. It is their choice and right as individuals not believe in God...but when they tear down or want to tear down an aspect of their countries founding culture, it is putting a smile on the faces of the followers of islam. There are many muslims, many islamic ideological groups, and many imams who call for "cultural jihad" against the nations they have immigrated to....having islam infiltrate western legal, political and educational systems. It's basically the same goals as the many islamic terror groups worldwide, just without the violence. Often times, I believe atheists to a point, liberal and those even further on the left side of politics are aiding and helping the islamic cause. I know a teacher that wanted to get her grade 3 kids involved in charity work. She brought in small Samaritans Purse boxes for the kids to get donations...it's a Christian charity. She was warned by the school principal never to bring in that Christian stuff again. Not in the same school, but under the same school system and board, they allow muslim prayer rooms. Or a school principal making sure the word Christmas was removed from the song Silver Bells that his school choir was going to sing, oddly enough at "Christmas" time, because it might offend others.
Mr. Dickinson believe me God is not fiction, he absolutely exists! You're a smart man and you should know we're not just a bag of cosmic dust. We were created in the image of God Almighty and he loves all of us brother! Im not like Ms.Super Christian or anything but youve gotta know God is real and he loves you!
How do you know God loves us? You can't know anything about God, you can believe about God and have different ideas, but that is just your opinion. Maybe there is evil God who likes humanity to suffer? You can't debunk this. Everything you say about God its just your opinion.
@@RobertSmith-sq1wg "The Guardian" expressed his thoughts. He has the right to do so. And, by the way, I find his words deeper and more challenging than yours. The great ancient man Augustine once wrote (in his "Confessions"): "Restless is our heart, until it finds rest in you." Maybe "The Guardian" wanted to relate to that.
I'm an atheist and Iron Maiden fan. I find it difficult to articulate my own sense of a personal 'spirituality'. I very much enjoyed hearing Bruce's take on things God shaped. Up the Irons.
@@577buttfan after seeing this I am to and I will continue to do so, I think Bruce wants it to be real and he is so calm in this interview and seems peaceful when he talks about God. And I think it would be great to have Bruce in heaven God wants everyone to accept him. But we have the choice.
Without Jesus there would be no meaningful life. God isn't just made up to make you live a meaningful life, without him it would all be pointless. Read the book of Ecclesiasties
jordan peterson has spoke about this subject very well, i think bruce should look up petersons biblical talks, peterson even has followers who callnhemselves atheists christians , ppl who are atheists but live up to the christian values
"all this spirit stuff is nonsense, but it is a useful way of living your life, which is one way of thinking about God, which is: the God does not really exist, but you've got to invent him, because man needs to believe in something like it, in order to live a meaningful life. So, basically, you know it is really fiction, but none the less you've still got to go through with it, because otherwise you just fall in despair and stuff like that..." he is a modern day philosopher really
And the other thing is: you go on living your life and being a nice person for yourself, and your loved ones and other people as well - for humanity or the whole world, including every living creature, in essence. An atheist has no invisible crutches and that's a lot more noble and andmirable than doing things for a God, or in fear of one...
maybe because accepting the fact that there is a god , probably all those beings or gods you mentioned are the same just interpreted differently and are given different names depending on the civillization you are talking about (just an opinion, I find this very interesting ^^)
..i'm on about the fact that he's the best vocalist and music thinker of all time...and here in england very few are aware of who he is......i'm confused..if you don't think so..and if you don't like dickinson..why are you here watching this?...don't reply to this..you made me miss fucking newcastle's goal...
I think he already is Christian, lol. He did say he believes in it, its just he's not sure whether he's just lying to himself or not. Nothing wrong with that, at least he's honest in that sense.
Depends on the definition of being a christian, does it not? Some people think, that being a christian means to be nice and serving in an outstanding way. Others think, that you can only be a christian if you earnestly gave The Trinity the absolute command over you whole life.
Tears of a Dragon (the dragon and the ancient snake all references to Satan in the bible) .... the song number of the beast 666 (reference to Satan In the book of revelation) he sings about Satan demons and biblical references...... but says God doesn't exist and we need to invent him to fill a black hole........ Jesús Christ filled that emptyness in my life..... took away the depression and suicide thoughts. (Almost blew my headoff with a 9mm in the 90s) Only Jesus can give you life and life in abundance.
The best explanation of Paganism I've ever heard was in The Serpent and The Rainbow: "God isn't just in his Heaven, he's here, in our bodies." Bruce is the proof. He's the greatest living sorcerer this side of the Dalai Lama.
How can you say that God doesn't exist........? / Why do you think it says in (2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: ); fortunately your god is devil, moreless because you sing the devil, that is why you don't believe in God because you are obeying your master "satan himself" the only thing here is that when you die your soul will go streight to hell.
Why do people always talk about "god", as if there was just one. What about Zeus, Odin, Quetzalcoatl and the thousands of other gods? What makes you think that your religion got it all right and the others got it wrong? I just don't get it, it's so mindnumbingly absurd and irrational.
@@JesusProtects well, Muslim can say that for Christianity also. Protestant can say that for Catholic faith. You believe what you want and not based on evidence and research.
That's stupid - and kinda dissapointing, I thought he'd be a smarter person than this. He's halfway there, but still so far from being an enlightened free thinker, an atheist or humanist or whatever you'd like to call it. What's the point of living and going on if there's no divine plan, there's nothing? Well, that's stupid, one thing is that this doesn't make the existence of God any more plausible or truer.
To me, it sounded like the most open minded take on God I've heard in a while. Sounds like you were triggered because he didn't fall in line with your specific beliefs, or lack of beliefs.
@@JesusProtects no he is clearly agnostic and honest and he's not follower of any religion but he is open to spirituality and mysticism but no church dogmas. He is great fan of William Blake and he was not atheist. Bruce simply states natural truth that religious beliefs is something very personal, because we all have different interpretations of idea of God, and we need that idea as Bruce said in this video.
I don't know what Bruce currently believes. In this video, he sounds like an atheist that can't deal with it. But why? Maybe he was raised with it and so just finds it comfortable. I love Maiden since I got into metal circa 1982, but I think for myself and don't see eye to eye with Bruce on this. I don't believe there is any god, especially the one presented in the Bible. And I don't think people need the idea of it to live their lives. They're conditioned to think so because it is all around them. And not believing casts you as an outsider in most cases. For me, it just doesn't work. I don't believe and everyone who knows me knows it.
