I was lucky. Back in the early 80s, as part of my job, I got to sit in a room with Bruce backstage for about 40 minutes. He/we talked about various things that weren't music. The man is amazing.
@@tryingggg1251 I've been trying to find the interview forever with no luck, but maybe 6-8 years ago I saw an interview where Bruce said he still gets nervous before every show, and said he embraces those nerves because it means he still cares. Said it was sad to see so many people who used to love music not feel the same passion anymore.
@@maxdurk4624 it’s good that he still feels like that tho, it shows he has a true dedication to the music and isn’t just going out there, knocking random stuff about and expecting everyone to like it. i’m seeing them on their next tour too so it’ll be interesting to watch performing irl :)
Bruce is a very warm and intelligent man and I love that he can have several passions and be great at all of them. I want to say a special thank you to Bruce for quoting my middle name sake William Blake. That's my middle name "Blake" for him. Great artist, great inventor. Bruce back a million years ago and now still is inspirational to me. Please keep on having fun and doing what you love Bruce.
I love his little analogy about the music industry... Very true and its my exact thoughts on the whole situation. Being a business major i enjoy his talks on the business field... Very insightful.
I'm impressed by his talking skills just as much as I'm impressed by his singing skills. He definitely is a smart guy and has a vision of what he wants to do. Very inspiring. Up the irons!

A legend with many, many skills including fencing to a national standard, has a history degree, he's a singer, orator, teacher, writer, pilot, entrepreneur. He is officially a polymath which isn't really surprising. Iron Maiden have also released a beer too! Must have heard himself talking here and gone and arranged it!

bruce is one of my favorite singers. damn i guess he is smart . i remember when the p.m.r.c. said he was a leader of a demond band. shit this guys band is best thing in my life for me cause i have followed there foot steps. i am in a bad ass band called "coldwire" I wish i had a guy like him in my band
Brilliant. He discovered the differentiation strategy and satisfying customers in Iron Maiden. How to attract fans by distinguishing the music from the rest. How to put the fans first. Much respect. Why doesn't Bruce name Cardiff "Maiden Airway"? It would promote the company.
Well, it's not an airline. In fact, it looks like a pretty business-oriented company, he didn't need (and perhaps even didn't want, lest itd've looked like a mere cash cow) to name it after another thing he's known for.

To think, all these years Iron Maiden was just a corporation producing products that I was consuming. I already had this attitude about aluminum foil and paper towels, now I can apply it to music as well. Thanks Bruce. No wait forget gratitude, I will simply direct more of my consumer dollars into your coffers since that is what this all about after all.

This guy (along with 5 of his colleagues) managed to get me to spend over £80 on a ticket and stand in mud to watch their concert.....I also had to go through hours of queuing on foot and in my car......I THOUGHT IT WAS WORTH IT......how did he manage to entice me there and make me a satisfied customer?
