I hope this final prayer was answered and Bruce is singing with the heavenly chorus now. His loss is felt so deeply by so many, but his spirit lives on in his music and the hearts of those it touches. So many amazing memories to cherish, thank you Bruce 💜
Bruce Guthro, I miss you, I miss your humanity and your special way of saying things. And I miss your singing, through which you brought your views and feelings to other people in a way that touched every soul! Things that touch every other person, including me, in an incomparable way and will accompany them forever! Bruce, unfortunately you left this world far too soon. I hope that your faith helps you on this difficult path! Bruce Guthro, thank you for all the beautiful things you and RUNRIG have given to so many people for eternity! With love and with great sadness Frank Gummert
Bruce Guthro, Robbie Robertson, Gordon Lightfoot, what an amazing trio to add to an angel choir...and my brother too. A pretty good baritone in his own right.
I didn't think anyone could replace Donnie but how wrong I was. "For every fighting Highland man Stand by your brother, die for the clan". Rory and Calum played straight to your strengths, even Rocket to the Moon became a Nova Scotia song. RIP wish I could have met you.
Saw Runrig with Bruce only once in Mainz, Germany, great voice and with this song he made a memory in my heart! RIP, Bruce! Maybe someone will make this song a digital copy....
I played this song to your cousin Keith , he was your fathers brothers son !! He often spoke of you both, on march 16 2024 , my dad passed at home in my house here in quebec where ive been taking care of him since 2015 when he was diagnosed with stage 4 demetia . Hes at peace and hope you both are having a drink up there and watching on us down here ,Amen to you both ❤❤
Desde Granada (España) siento muchísimas su pérdida. Soy un gran admirador suyo y de Runrig. Siempre estará en mis recuerdos. Excelente músico que conectó de maravilla en la banda Runrig. Hasta siempre
Back in 1982 I repented of my sins and accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior born again delivered from drugs and alcohol and I hope he didn’t just recite the Lord’s Prayer in a song but he truly got saved before it was everlasting too late ……..
I guess to some people drinking a beer or saying a bad word means you aren't a real Christian. Bruce was absolutely a true believer. Who are you to question him?
R.I.P. Bruce Guthro. Please sing my Daughter your Songs in Heaven. I 'm shure, that she would be happy.
Dirk5832, I live here in Canada and I got to know Bruce years ago in Montreal in a small bar him singing along to the Tragically Hip. Es ist fuer mich ein Riesenverlust, genau wie fuer Dich...er war fuer mich ein grosser Teil von Runrig...! Every River I Try To Cross! He was one of the greatest songwriters ever! Sorry about the loss of your daughter...
@@ericvetter3299 Thank you for your words. Is it true, if i believe, that you yourself come from Germany? Oh my God ... My English is so Bad. If i'm right, i wanna show you one Song from the finest Singer/Songwriter from Germany. Er wird dich berühren, weil er zu meinem und zu deinem Verlust passt. "Reinhard Mey" - "Lass nun ruhig los das Ruder". Diesen Song hätte ich meiner Tochter gern vorgespielt, während sie stirbt ... But i was too Late.
Bruce, tha fios agam nach robh Gàidhlig agad ach thug do cheòl na h-uimhir dhan fheadhainn againn a bha airson gum b’ urrainn dhuinn. Tapadh leat airson do cheòl agus tapadh leat airson Runrig a thoirt air ais às deidh Donnie falbh.
