I have seen this happen more than I would have thought possible. I have seen young women whose fathers were nowhere in the picture while their children were growing up but the daughters still say "I want my Daddy to walk me down the aisle". If the mothers had basically abandoned their children as a lot of fathers have, the children would never have forgiven the mothers. There is apparently a double standard for mothers and fathers. I'm sure that the 1st Mrs. Jenner was nice enough to not speak negatively about Bruce/Caitlin. And as for the people who brag on how he was a "hero" and came from behind to win the Olympics, they need to see what Jesse Owens and the great Native American Jim Tharpe. had to contend with. Jim had all of his medals taken away from him because he played (I believe it was) baseball in the summer to earn money. He didn't compete in baseball at the Olympics because there was no Baseball Olympics but his medals were still stolen from him and he died in poverty.

For 9 years almost I fought a drug addiction and was absent from my family and children. I’m forever grateful and humbled that they live accept and forgive me . I changed though and have shown remorse. I can’t imagine expecting them to forgive my addiction and just live with it. That would’ve been wrong

My heart broke when he told his son now is NOT the time to discuss this. I am NOT trans but I know the heartache of having kids and as a parent it is your role to be there for your kids period. This is very confusing for them and to want to discuss this and for Bruce to shut him down is so wrong.

That was an awkward moment. God forbid the truth coming out and people find out he wasn't dad of the year. I saw a recent interview where Kaitlyn's mom calls and she puts her on speaker phone. Kaitlyn sort of rolls her eyes and at the end of the conversation, just dismisses the call. To have your mom at such a vulnerable time, at her age and who's supportive is extremely fortunate! I'm not a fan.

+cubanita365 ...That's just what my " father" did, married his 4th wife and forgot about my sister and I, although she accepted it..( at the time I was 14 she was 12)...He surely did abandon me as his only son! I am now a 52 year old man, he never wanted to patch it up with me. He passed in 2013, truth be told, he passed in my life as the father I knew and loved in 1980! ( when he married a true selfish bitch! ( that's putting it mildly).. I have no relationship with my " sister" or her 23 yr. old daughter ( who I helped raise!)...because she was mad because I didn't go see him when he was dying ( cancer)..as Bruce " Caitlyn" Jenner says here..."everybody has stuff, to deal with"...I am fine with all my "stuff"..esp. after my own brush with death on 12/29/14, after a blood clot caused a massive heart attack that should have killed me! ( I now have 2 stents)..feeling great about my personal life and have NO regrets!

Simple answer is money is behind everything. The financial means has been available to Jenner since the early 80's. Jenner's net worth has been around 100 million dollars since the 80 to present and with this change in gender and being on a reality show could boost that to 500 million dollars in the next few years.

Many trans people don't like Jenner, that much is true. It has to do with the impression that he's overly privileged and conservative. And somewhat of a train wreck in some ways. Most trans people live in poverty due to discrimination and often, difficulty being hired. Many were kicked out of their homes as teenagers, after coming out to their parents. Their religious parents. So they see someone who has the means to do all this and not have to worry about ever having to work again, and get all this positive attention, and yea it's frustrating.

Bruce is such a self-absorbed person. The interview should have been about that instead of the transition. Had no problem living his life as a man because of all the benefits it gave him. Had no problem skipping out of his kids lives, because they weren't convenient for him. Wants your whole family to accept you because want live how your truth. It seems like you have been living your truth your whole life, and only just now transitioning into a women because you really have nothing to lose and its now convenient for you.

That Bruce's oldest four children would support him now says an awful lot about them and the mothers who raised them given that Bruce was absent from their young lives for years. I also feel for the first wife who supported Bruce during his Olympic journey when there was nothing for her to gain. She did it out of love. She birthed his two children only to have him leave when he became "restless." Then again, perhaps she lucked out by getting out of the relationship so early. With Bruce's constant confusion about his life, I'm sure hers was much happier and more content.

I can't feel right for what they lost and could never have, one can say that the act of being born is a gamble. Yes lol it's odd. I watched one of his sons doing a interview and he kept saying i was proud of my dad then proceed to say she this or that. Jesus fix it😩

@@kbh4bratz same, was watching a clip from Kardashians and the two younger daughters still refer to him as dad. Weird , wouldn't surprise me to find it's been a hoax, as he still wears trousers mostly not much make up, and most times has his long hair in a ponytail. He does not look comfortable portraying himself as a woman.

I don't call him a woman. He was born and raised a male, had kids as a male, sounds male, looks male, acts like a male. Maybe he had gay sexual feelings, but no, he has said he is still attracted to women. I think he is a nice guy with a big heart. His support of kids struggling with sexual identity is laudable. But , I cannot identify with him as another woman. He didn't bear kids, or menstruate his whole life or deal with womens birth control issues or risk breast cancer or experience any of the life events or inequities that are still unique to women. I can easily accept him as uniquely trans and a uniquely nice person. I'm on Germain Greer's side. Women have self identities as women and it is not reasonable to inform us unilaterally that our lived experience as women is the same for men who wear skirts and makeup. That is just not enough to call yourself a woman. Analogy... I want to be a green beret soldier. It is not enough to dress like one, act like one, declare yourself one. You have to qualify and compete in terms of height, weight, fitness, skill and grueling training. You have to fully experience being a green beret. I knew young man with polio who wanted to be a marine. But he could not meet their requirements for any job at sea. It hurt so much that he was suicidal. Well the Marines cant change their job requirements for someone who 'self identifies' as a Marine.
