As a UK fan I feel ur pain and respect ur team and fan base , these losses are the worst trust me but at the end of the day we have no control over the outcome rather than showing our support.in the end only 1 fanbase is satisfied with their season at the end of this tournament as devastating as these loses as a favorite I promise I have been more disappointed in getting to final 4 or championship game and losing . You guys had a great season and are SEC champions .
I don't feel this was as bad as Kentucky. Auburn was prepared, pearl coached well, he went to Broome and had good adjustments. They just got beat, but not for a lack of preparation or play
Failure make free throws costs us. Even with the discrepancy in number of attempts, we make ours we win. They made theirs we missed ours. We make the final 2 we missed and it’s overtime. We have been lucky it didn’t cost us more games.
I was so glad they tossed baker mazzarra. He’s been getting away with bush league shenanigans all year long and pearl would never pull him out or discipline him. He’s gotten away with more pointless dirty elbows all season long than I’ve ever seen. He’s emotionally immature and doesn’t belong on a bball court. We still had a good season but I won’t miss watching cbm playing at all. He’s always confrontational and making dirty plays that have no effect on the play. Just being dirty to be dirty . If Bruce refuses to fix it then let the refs fix it. I’ve never celebrated one of our own kids getting tossed out in a game before until today just because he’s gotten away with that same crap all year long.
Say what you want. It was a dirty play. But tossing him like it or not had a significant impact on the game. The refs didn’t reward Auburn with a flagrant when the Yale guy threw his hand in chads face.
In recent years, the Ivy League has a better tournament record against higher ranked teams than the SEC has against lower-ranked teams. Welcome to the new reality, and start putting some respect on our names.

TWO, Yale would never be in the SEC because their academic standards are too high, and they don't offer athletic scholarships, so they can't monkey with the transfer portal. Which leads to the main point, THREE: while schools like Auburn are busy chasing NBA prospects and trying to hanging onto them for a few months, Ivy League schools are building and developing TEAMS. You could see the difference in the game. Auburn would make one V-cut, launch a three, and call that a possession, while Yale was moving the ball side-to-side, trying to get the defense off balance, and looking for the best mismatch. You guys are trying to be the 2004 Olympic Team, and we all know how that turned out. But keep blaming March Magic, because that's more whimsical and more distracting from the reality...which is that the Ivy League is completely outplaying the SEC in the tourney, and not just this year.

There was definitely contact on auburns last three or four shots, anyone of those and Auburn couldve won on the free throws they deserved to be shooting. Refs did not call fouls for Auburn and changed the outcome. If they call a foul at the end it wouldn't have been a controversy andbthe team that deserved the win would've been shooting free throws... these are the types of refs that ruin games.

I love my Auburn Tigers. This season has been so much fun to watch. These Tigers are a really good team. Today was a disappointment for sure, but I'm so proud of this team and coach. This was a team loss.

It sucks when it happens to your team but upsets like this are what make the tournament special. Losses like this happen to every team sooner or later.
You guys may have come up short, but it's been a good ride. Many teams don't make it in. People are hating on Auburn. They are the Sec champs. The Sec is dominating in many sports! The State of Alabama had 4 teams in the NCAA, and they will be back.
I had more expectation and belief in this team than the Jabari/Walker team based off of how we were playing at the end of the year. Amazing that this team couldnt even get out of the first game. I think the SEC is elite hype fooled us all. We were a mid team that got exposed. Ironic how we were feeling disrespected by our seeding and location....only to look like we were seeded too highly
The team let the Coach down and the fans. These refs should not have tossed any player out. I’ve seen worse during the regular season and no one got tossed. Didn’t Flanagan only get like a suspension yet Auburn gets their player tossed. These officials were the worse and had nothing but vengeance against the Auburn team
This game had a lot of calls that could have gone both ways, refs definitely missed some for both teams, but this really isn't an excuse..sec was over seeded in the tournament, whining because they only play other sec teams and had to actually play the field. If the conference was so much better as your commissioner likes to say these games would have been a cakewalk. As for getting tossed, that's a textbook ruling, keep your emotions in check in the tournament.
Total underperformance, total mental let down, these boys deserved better and should have played better. Refs were a joke but didn’t cost them the turnovers. Well said. Some of these comments on here are embarrassing to read. So easy for people to judge when they weren't on the floor and/or never played the game. Extremely tough to swallow this loss. I don't think I uttered a single word the rest of the night. Sometimes shots don't fall. Sometimes the refs are against you. Sometimes you make the wrong decisions. Sometimes it just isn't meant to be. That's 🏀. IMO, it is the game that mirrors life more than any other out there. Great team, tough loss, Auburn Tiger til I die, War Damn Eagle!!!
Big Bama fan here and hate to see this loss for the sec. But you gotta give those teams like Yale and San Diego state who beat Bama last yr. These teams that have 4 yr players are gonna do better than the more talented younger team. Bama had 3 guys from last yrs teams back.

If you simulate the ending of this game 100 times, Auburn comes away winning probably 95 of the simulations. They truly dropped the ball in the last 7 minutes, it's delusional to point at any one call or no-call and pretend that the referees decided this game. There were a dozen opportunities for Auburn to win in the last 30 seconds.

You can't have one bad game during March Madness. The reality for a team like Yale is that, when it comes to players, they are subpar when it comes to legitimate talent. They will more than likely get throttled in the next game or in the sweet 16. They put everything they had into this game, and had to play near perfect to win. When you add in the bad play on Auburn's part combined with the refs injecting themselves into the outcome, it was doomed from the beginning. Same thing that happened with UK. The NCAA needs to dial back the refs in general. It gets worse every season.

I know they will get fined but I wish someone would just say it. The officiating was fucking awful and worth a 30 point swing in this game. We still had a chance to win and just lost it but this has to stop.

The officials once again inject themselves into the outcome of a basketball game. If I wanted to watch fake basketball I'd watch the NBA. Yale is a dirty team and couldn't win otherwise. The F2 should've been an F1 at best. Regardless, the refs called the game 100 percent for Yale and 0 for Auburn. Maybe they were against Auburn after the F2?
