I was late teens. It came through my speakers max volume from 103 KDF Nashville! From 1st note to end, I was turned inside out. Musiy, lyrics, and when.there were no words left, plangent wails and moans of angst that only the nerves knew. Only gets better with each passing minute.
[1962 DOB here] I agree. I hate when someone ruins a hit, by publishing lyrics AFTER they (or someone else) ran it thru a speech-recog., wo/ dbl-checking 1st. That why some of the lyric-sites have Queens, "Killer Queen" lyrics as, "...crew shove an ken it he" instead of, "...Khrushchev and Kennedy" and todays youth who are researching: 1) get it wrong yet, are REALLY convinced that they have it right; and, 2a) don't know how to go about validating, or worse yet, 2b) don't care. Oh well, their day will come and they'll get the same (maybe worse) and then, THEY'LL be here typing. Lulz 😂
What is the meaning of this song? They wanted to get out of where they lived, but in the meantime they raced and hung out and dreamed? I woke up with The lyrics ‘it’s a death trap, it’s a suicide pact’ stuck in my head.
