We’re back baby!! 🤗
We love Dancing in the Dark by Bruce Springsteen. Released In 1984, from album Born in the USA
I was searching for a way to play this tune in a cool way, where I can allow the notes to keep ringing, have this continuity, add rhythm and still be able to capture the other interesting elements and spirit of the original version. It occurred to me that with an Open G tuning (with capo on 4th fret) I might be able to achieve that :)
And so it goes, here’s our arrangement of this cool tune.
Lead vocals, acoustic guitar - Myself

- 2 condenser mics (MXL 990 upgraded, Rode NT1)

Yes, I love your covers of many of the songs that I grew up with in the 60s and 70s ... BUT What always amazes me (as a non-musician, only playing viola 50+ years ago) is the way you two play acoustic and bass guitar. I can understand how someone can play guitar "finger style " but it beats me as to how you can play so many individual notes using a pick! Thanks for sharing your talents! Dominus vobiscum, Reg

Every song you post I have to listen to a minimum of 5 times: first to focus on the guitar arrangement, next the vocals, then the bass, then, and most importantly, focusing on Lital's hair, and finally to hear everything together.

I love this version. I am literally 40 years and three miles from where I first heard this song (On WNEW 102.7 while driving on Rt.80 in New Jersey), so this song and I have a long history, as I do with all Mr. Springsteen's music. I think this is so much better than the over produced original. It really is a great song.
