I was at this show, in the pit about 15 feet in front of center stage. Bruce's shows are always like religious revivals, but this show, and the performance of this song, was like nothing i have ever experienced given the circumstances. During the hour before showtime I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know the fans in my immediate vicinity with whom I would be sharing the evening, which included a great guy and woman who were there as part of a healing journey and celebration of life. She had recently lost her husband, and the man she was with was her husband's brother. I will not post their names and details of his passing here out of respect for the family, but it was extremely difficult. Her husband had been a huge Springsteen fan. So this was more than just a concert for them, and it became more than that for me as well. The woman had made a poster for the show which included a portrait of her husband and a description of the man he was, and asked Bruce to dedicate any song that night to her late husband. I was shown it before the show and I cannot express how moving it was. You can see the poster in this video beginning at about 00:25. At about 6:40 in the video began a highly emotional sequence of events starting with Bruce's message of how those we have loved and lost are still with us. Then he walked out on the pier toward the crowd, pointed to the poster several times beckoning the woman to bring the poster to him. I watched it happen right in front me and will never forget that moment. I am very thankful it was captured on video and thank you Suzanne for uploading this. Bruce eventually brought the poster upstage and put it in front of Max's drum riser, and it sat there for several songs. Then the lights went down and Bruce stood alone on stage, under a spotlight with just an acoustic guitar and the poster at his feet, and he dedicated Last Man Standing to the woman's late husband. The crowd parted and she and her brother-in -law went to the front of the stage for that performance. I don't think I need to elaborate on how raw and emotional it was in that moment. So this is what was happening in a tiny sector of the crowd during City of Ruins and Last Man Standing. It will never be forgotten. Thank you Bruce and thank you again L. and T. for allowing me the privilege to bear witness to your healing journey. RIP Captain.
This is the one song that I had SOOO!!!!! WANTED Bruce to do last year in Greensboro!!! I can’t believe he finally brought it out. Lucky audience!!!!! (My other choice would have been If I Should Fall Behind if his duet partner had been there). LOVE this man and his music!!! Thank you Boss!!!❤❤❤

Look closely at the faces ringing the stage , this is what music combined with a singular honest talent can conjure - there are some people that somehow don't like bruce springsteen .... I can't fathom it but I know if they watched this video or saw a live show they would run like their ass was on fire straight into the promised land~
Bruce has called himself a runaway Catholic (and I think I understand what he means), but I agree that his Catholic upbringing created a strong faith for him.
Missing Clarence I thought...Jake is one of the horns...but Anthony didn't get an intro.....never known BS to forget anyone BUT it shows he is human and not led by vidiprompt as some imply.
Bruce Money and the dynamic pricing band. They sold all their assets to ticketmaster. They used to be legends. Now they're just ridiculous, antisocial jokes with stupid fans who pay extortionate ticket prices.
This is like the World Federation of wrestling. It's so hokey it comes off as being fake. It's bad enough being old. You don't have to beat it it's already dead.
