So one day a few years ago I was spending the day at home with my infant son since he was a bit under the weather. Well, he actually went down for a nap, so I decided to play with my new webcam. The results are this uh .... piece of art. Some people tell me this is dumb. Gee, ya think?
On the other hand, I do find it slightly amusing that after 40,000 some odd hits, most people don't see that every other word out of my mouth is poking fun at Gene. I guess Springsteen fans don't get all the utterly brilliant Kiss references.

wow.....just because they aren't played on the radio along side your precious jonas brothers doesn't mean they are crap..last time i checked they have sold over 100 million albums and so has springsteen

bruce wrote hungry heart for the ramones, and his shows are were 4 hours long, maybe 3 , he always gave back benator and bruce the first vietnam benefit shows and hunger benefits, also helped get jobs back ,and on an on, but one thing we all know bruces harmonies are awesome and im sure he aint sittn down listening to kiss;s 16 year old metal, , so gene when ya finish learnin gary talents bass lines let us know, i dont think they need face make up, and stupid looking boots to sell there songs

For all the people that DO know something about music; the melody itself is a lot like the KISS song 'I was made for loving you', the CHORDS however are NOT; the KISS song is based on major-chords. The melody in springsteen's 'Outlaw Pete' ends with a minor chord.

I don't get the controversy: Made for Lovin' is a disco song and Outlaw Pete is a folk song. It's so clear cut. The base line speaks for itself.

@rubenick and one last thing Bruce is one of the most original singer/songwriters out there if you ever sat down a listened to his music you would know that he is a true storyteller , oh and BTW he has sold way more albums as well!

ive seen kiss twice and bruce 3 times, kiss couldnt hold up too bruce by a mile, ask chicago when bruce opened up and then nobody wanted to here chicago no offense, but they had to stop touring with bruce because he blew them away, and by the way im a big zepplin fan, so enough said bruce was always known for writing a million songs and he might have wrote it while gene was trying to learn how to play like gary talent

Kiss sold 30 gold records in usa alone and the double in the test of the world . Kiss net worth is about 700 millions while springsteen 650,,,so kiss is bigger than springsteen

Ok, so: Bruce "steals" a song made by Paul Stanley, Desmond Child, and Vincent Poncia and the one who is pissed is Gene Simmons none of the others having said a word about the whole story. There are so many songs with similar structure out there and Gene Simmons is far too clever not to know this that i just think he is trying to shout a little bit, to get in the spotlight again.

This video is fake and the whole debate is getting past the point. The verse in "Outlaw Pete" also sounds a little like "Rihannon" by Fleetwood Mac. I think "Outlaw Pete" is a good song anyway.

Yeah Bruce is a hasbeen. Guess that's why he is playing the Super Bowl halftime show. I like old KISS but today they are a joke. I mean how dare they have two replacements for Peter and Ace wearing their same stage makeup and costumes? The makeup should only be worn with the original lineup or at least change it like they did when Ace I believe it was first left the group. Didn't they have a guy with hawk makeup?

Name one person who believes that's Gene. Kiss is shit. Notice how every comment says Bruce is better then Kiss? There's your fucking proof Kiss sucks. No one gives a damn about Kiss' gay song about gay love. Bruce is legend and makes his music the way he wants. Outlaw Pete is better then i was made for fucking gays any day. Oops. Outlaw Pete is far from being one of Bruce's better songs(and it's still a good one).So he may have nicked that riff from Kiss.Who cares?The guy has made some of the greatest albums in the history of rock which cannot be claimed for Kiss who are just a fine hard rock outfit without much artistic credibility.

Epic work of art? Or epic act of self-indulgent pretension? I'm vying for the latter after hearing Outlaw Pete twice. The last two minutes or so of the same chord progression were entirely unnecessary and boring. It also sounded like a Christmas song I can't quite name at the moment, maybe someone else could post a Youtune rant about that one.

springsteen may have stolen a melodic line from Kiss but Kiss have stolen everything that was fantastic from the new-york dolls and turn these genious of punk-rock into a "made-up crappy unbalanced rock band " for late teenagers !!!

Bruce has sold over 65 million in the U.S. compared to Kiss 19 million and Bruce has sold over 120 million worldwide compared to Kiss 80 million so I do not know where you get your figures but they are wrong and Kiss are an awful band with maybe one good song , they are more of a showband types with makeup and effects while Bruce is a story teller.

Gimme a break...Kiss is a legendary band, I'll give you that. But Bruce puts anybody to shame with songwriting and live performance. One small series of notes sounds remotely similar. There have been billions of songs over the past 70 years of amplified music. There are bound to be similarities every once in a while. If Bruce were to COPY someone, which would NEVER happen, it certainly would not be KISS.
