Like Bruce, I want to thank my mother Ann. She never deprived me of anything despite having 5 other kids and not much money. Thanks for your unselfish faith and love.

This is incomplete. It lacks the part about his managers.

It was only recently when the E Street Band was inducted that it seemed strange that Bruce would be inducted here without them.
@blindterrytucci2752

stonesdude154 Well, it is Bruce Springsteen AND the E Street Band. No matter how amazing they are, they are Bruce's back up band and nothing more. The name "E Street Band" only appears on two or three albums, as well...and has just as many non E Street albums as he does E Street.

@@blindterrytucci2752 Regardless, if you're statements are meant as some sort of defense or argument as to why it was ok, or right or correct or on any level even remotely cool to induct Bruce Springsteen without the E Street Band...? Well, let me begin by saying this-get bent. If I have to explain this, then you're not a real fan regardless of cutesy little profile names like Blind Terry or no matter how many times you've seen him live as Bruce Springsteen or Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band or Bruce Springsteen and the Seeger Session Band or in Steel Mill or any other pre-73 incarnation. Its BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN AND THE E STREET BAND. lol
@blindterrytucci2752
@blindterrytucci2752 4 года назад
Mark Vaught Haha. If you have to explain what? That Bruce wrote every single word and note, told the band exactly what to play, recorded more music WITHOUT E Street than with? Or how about explaining why Steven has said that the only way they would have made it out of Jersey was if they were Bruce’s back up band? Do you think the fucking band feels the way you do? NO! Because it’s the band, everything they were, are, and will ever be is Bruce’s vision of HIS music. For fuck’s sake. For a supposed fan you don’t seem to know a thing about them.
@blindterrytucci2752
@blindterrytucci2752 4 года назад
Mark Vaught Have you ever heard Clarence talk about how Bruce is the greatest, most talented person he ever knew? Do you think he had a problem with Bruce being inducted by himself? They are without a doubt THE greatest backing band in the history of rock n’ roll....but they are also, without a doubt, Bruce’s backing band and nothing else no matter how loved they are. Look at the writing credits to every single one of Bruce’s albums. Notice anything? Bruce sure as hell sees them as separate entities. As much as you like the warm, nostalgic feeling you get when you think of them being all one unit, you’re fucking WRONG. You don’t stand a chance in this argument, trust me.
@blindterrytucci2752

If they are as connected as you want to believe, why did the 1995 reunion fail and nothing come of it? Watch the “Blood Brothers” documentary...the tension and awkwardness of even Bruce and Steven is obvious. If you think they should have went in at the same time no matter what, which version of the E Street Band would that be? If the most musically talented incarnation of the band with David Sancious and Boom Carter would have been the only version of the band would you still have the same attitude? I’m going with “no”.

Weird comment about Bono's introduction of him.
@jamesallen5591
@jamesallen5591 6 лет назад
Bono didn't have to mention that he saw Bruce drunk. That was tacky and classless. Even if the story is true, and I don't don't doubt that it is (Bruce is, at the end of the day, a human being) Bono's telling of it, in front of a large audience, was disrespectful. Maybe I'm nuts. Maybe I'm a loser. But I would never do anything like that. Bono is either an idiot, or a dick. He couldn't have spoken about a Springsteen concert he saw, or some of the many songs the man has written?

THE E STREET BAND SHOULD OF BEEN INDUCTED along with him, THE ROCK N ROLL HALL OF FAMES rules are tainted.
@blindterrytucci2752
@blindterrytucci2752 8 лет назад
...it's Bruce Springsteen AND The E Street Band. Bruce and the E Street Band's music means the world to me but at the end of the day they are a backing band that doesn't help write, arrange, or produce his music (except Steven). A band that is solely a backing band rarely get in the HoF.
@scottcoraci4327
@scottcoraci4327 8 лет назад
So he shouldn't of brought them all up on stage when he was inducted? The E STREET BAND, ask Bruce to join them in 70/71. Danny, Vinny, Sancious. The stipulation Bruce wanted was it be Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band. And they agreed.

+Scott Coraci Blind Terry Tucci said it all, why
@blindterrytucci2752
@blindterrytucci2752 8 лет назад
No, he shouldn't have brought them on stage. Bruce was inducted in 1999 and The E Street Band in 2014. Bruce didn't get inducted with them because, like I said...its Bruce Springsteen AND The E Street Band. They're two different entities. When Bruce was inducted, it would've made ZERO sense to have them on stage if they weren't getting in. They might as well have had "The Other Band" that he used from 1992-1995, too. Bruce is a solo artist. Plain and fucking simple. Do you know how many of his albums credit the "E Street Band"? TWO. They've been playing for him and doing what they're told to do since Steel Mill, Dr. Zoom, and The Bruce Springsteen Band...and you saying that Bruce had stipulations for them to get in is absolute nonsense. They got in 15 years after he did and Bruce did not get re-inducted with ESB.
@blindterrytucci2752
@blindterrytucci2752 8 лет назад
...and, I'm not trying to insult you, honestly. So if it comes off like that I apologize. You really need to brush up on your history of the band. The ESB didn't exist in 1970/1971. He didn't even meet Clarence until late 1972. They always played FOR him. Steven has even said that the only possible way they were ever going to be famous, respected musicians was playing for Bruce.

Bruce had to have crushed Bono with the "It wasn't very good" remark. Even as a diehard, loyal no matter what fan, that was really fucked up for him to do that and I lost a slight amount of respect for him for it.

+Blind Terry Tucci I think he meant that Bruce's carerr and life wasn't as good as Bono's speech. It was a heartfelt thank you.
@blindterrytucci2752
@blindterrytucci2752 8 лет назад
I never would've thought that. That's a really interesting way to see it. We both still have different perspectives on it, though. I just don't hear it like that. To me, the inflection is way off for that. If he would've said it while referring to his life/career it would've been more like "It wasn't THAT good"...but instead says it in an almost sheepish but and hesitant manner

He definitely meant that Bono made him sound better than he was - he (Bruce) wasn't that good. And proof that Bono wasn't hurt is he had Bruce give U2's induction speech.
@jamesallen5591
@jamesallen5591 6 лет назад
Bono didn't have to mention seeing Bruce drunk. That was classless. Bono could have spoken of Bruce's albums and/or his concerts. He could have spoken of the awards Bruce as won (what hasn't he won, by the way?). But he told a story of seeing The Boss drunk. With friends like that, who needs enemies?
