Back in 1985 before I joined the Marines I set out to meet Bruce. I drove to Rumson and walked up and knocked on his door. I told him I always wanted to meet him and could he sign my book. He wrote... From the halls of Montezuma to the Jersey shore, then autographed it. THANK YOU BRUCE!
Praying Mantis, ok...describe the street Bruce's house is on? Better be close because I live about 1/2 mile away and I know the guys that protect his property. Your turn.
z delany Truthfully...Bruce was locally available even in those days. He was often seen jogging around town to keep in shape. At a local gym and shore clubs sitting in or just hanging. He actually picked me up hitchhiking once and dropped me off saying he'd a taken me further but had a plane to catch. One thing for sure...he would never answer his own door to his house. He has people that intercept wanderers and visitors like that. Nice try though.
No kidding. He is a rock legend, and love his music, but folks, he is just a guy. People get all stupid about touching him or getting their arm signed by him. These are not kids drooling over their latest teen heartthrob, these are adults getting all giddy.
Everyone would love to meet him......but something's wrong if you spend a greater part of your day on this. Its terrific that he's cognizant of the length people go for this. It's a credit to him that he's spends that much time autographing. But again he's just a man not the pope.
Also not the mans fault that he has so many fans, right? at least he signs a few here actually a lot of signatures not like some other bands or artists, sing pack up leave town
I've touched Bruce about 4 times now, had eye contact with him once...and during the second show in Gothenburg this year I also managed to touch his guitar during the Twist & Shout finale. That's something I guess x)
