I love how Bruce gets up close to his youngest fans and shows them respect even though they're not the best singers. The Boss is a real gentleman who truly loves kids!
I just love the way he's been a genuine global superstar for about a million years, yet he obviously still has such an easy, natural way with people he meets.
Springsteen is a big kid, and I mean that as the highest compliment. He gives everything he has. Every time. And he's been doing it for decades. I have no idea how he does it, but I am glad he does. I just hope that I will have a chance to see a concert of his one day.
It strikes me that this man truly gets off on making people happy. He's never forgotten what it's like to be an awesome struck fan watching your favorite band/singer
I bought “Southside Johnny and The Asbury Jukes” back in 1973 and learned about Bruce from that album. Bought “Greetings From Asbury Park” and “The Wild, The Innocent and the E Street Shuffle.” I was totally hooked. I called it “Route 1 Music” for young working class kids like me. Saw him live for the first time in 1975 in DC playing a 2,000 seat hall. Then he was on the cover of Time that same year when “Born To Run” came out. Saw him later in 1975 in a 19,000 seat arena. But, he was still the same. Same energy. Same 4 hour set. Different songs but same power, same depth, same heart and same soul. Ive seen him more than 20 more times over the years. Saw 4 of the 8 concerts he did in LA in late 1970s. All different. All great. But, the songs like this where he picks people out of the audience illustrate perfectly why he is the best. He loves the music. And he loves the people. He really reads the signs in the audience and picks the people whose signs touch him. The joy comes through when he is performing, especially on the upbeat songs like this one or Cadillac Ranch or Dancing In The Dark. Its a mutual love affair between him and his fans. He is the best who has ever played a guitar in front of an audience.
what I liked in this scene is that Bruce stays realy nice to her (and to all ather "small" performers he brings to the stage) and gives them full respect even though they do not sound so "professional".. he is really a great man
Oh man, how off key she sang, my ears are hurting right now. BUT how that little girl had the day of her life, singing with Bruce, makes my ears hurting okay. I can see and even hear this every day. A huge smile on my face right now. Thank you Bruce and little girl.
I flew from Chicago to see this show. The air conditioning was broken. It was probably 90 degrees in the venue. Bruce and the band played like they always do, relentlessly. This song with the girl was a highlight but the rest of the set list is as good as it gets.
Tonight I've watched about 20 videos of Bruce interacting with fans like this. Language and age don't matter, pitch and timing don't matter; Bruce just wants people to have fun, and that's a wonderful thing.
This song has been the highlight of the past two times i have seen Brooooce and the Band, I reckon it'll be the same come June when I get to see him again !
Chiche !!!
Typical Bruce, he always looks after everyone at a concert, I remeber the Re-union tour in 2001/2 (?)i took my then aged 10 daughter, he noticed her with us on the second row, after being prompted by Clarence, he just sang to her for a chorus, complete with smile and eye contact. he is so good with the kids who now go to see him. She will never forget, nor will the girl here on youtube
Thanks for the love and support . I decided to take out time today out of my busy schedule to get close to my fans and know their thoughts towards my career and I came across you through my official RU-vid CHANNEL insight...
