The truth is Batman knows how to take each one of them out. A file describing how to defeat every member of the justice league is on batmans computer. During the first few years of the Justice league batman gathers intel on each member. So it doesn't matter if they respect him or not. Superman found out what happen in BVS if you piss off Batman. Well the wonder woman thing was for the SJW groups because Wonder Woman never reacted like that in a comic book or cartoon. They wanted to do the whole girl power crap and that means extra money for them. The superman thing happen in the comics and animated series a few times but Batman was always a step ahead of superman. There is even one comic where Batman was given the same powers as superman and he kicked the entire justice league's ass because with his superior combat skills plus new super powers he was unstoppable.

Secret identities are only as important as the story possibilities they provide. Currently in the film genre they’re not offering much story potential at all. They could if say, Joker learns who Batman is and targets his friends. But I don’t think anyone is looking for the obligatory 3-film arc of Lois Lane almost figuring out Clark is Superman.

I always felt that this scene would have worked more as the beginning of the movie because it has more of a prologue feel to it. The shot of Bruce Wayne with a full beard up on the mountains riding a horse should have been the first time we see him after the end credits scene of Suicide Squad as it would have worked more for the story that he's been travelling around the world for quite a while since his secret meeting with Amanda Waller looking for people to join the Justice League.

Batman has always been known for his search for knowledge, knowledge is how he defeats many of his over-powered enemies. If this scene was true to batman then he would have understood the language, instead he essentially can only get through this with money, which isn't what batman is.

A search for knowledge doesnt make him a polyglot. He can probably speak a half dozen languages, this just wasnt one of them. The whole batgod mythos has really wrecked a good character imo. Batman doesnt know everything, have access to everything he needs at all times, and isnt able to do anything with prep time. He is a superbly trained martial artist, a highly educated master in a number of fields, but he doesnt know everything.

Bruce called him by his name, recognizing him as a human and person rather than just for his abilities due to not being normal. Later on in the movie, Diana calls Cyborg Victor to talk to the person and not to the inhuman creation.

Batman just sounds too optimistic and hopeful in this scene which as his Bruce Wayne persona he should be to a certain extent but if anything that’s a Superman trait.

The last portion of the scene (exterior) is sooo poorly shot and edited. 2:58 and 3:01 are completely different shots. People popping up, jarring angle change, random push in and 3:22 is one of the worst shots in the film! It's so unfortunate Joss and crew had to reshoot last minute cus I know he's better than this. Smh

The boxes thing and dialogue about it was inserted by Whedon. Also when Bruce says "Gotham" then Aquaman answers "that shithole" . The shithole was inserted when Whedon took over. Aquaman dosent move his mouth and on the behind the scenes (find on youtube), that shithole line is not there.

Batman actually is a polyglot and speaks about 40 different languages. They could have used this opportunity to show off his linguistic abilities rather than make him look perplexed when Arthur communicates in another tongue. It’s ok that they shadowed his physical prowess, but they stripped down the character a little too much. Also, batman as he is, would have communicated with Arthur at right time and convinced him to join the team with his talent for making people do what he wants. All they cared about in the movie was to try to cheer up superman fans who were disheartened by supes loosing to the bat in their last movie.

1:25 That moment makes no sense. Batman is the World's Greatest Detective and analyst who can speak as many contemporary languages as known to man. He most definitely would be fluent or at least understand Portuguese.
