I spent 2 1/2 hours looking at other videos, trying to convince myself that I could get this done, and as soon as I was about to scratch the ideal your. Videos popped up, In my opinion, your way seemed the simplest and very budget friendly, and you showed the important steps. Priceless video! I'm. Building the 3d printed Kenworth along with the tamiya flatbed /lowboy conversion, and this dozer conversion will be a great addition to them both. The problem is that I can print faster than I have time to put the parts together.😅
Hey Joe i never would've tried to build this if not for your videos. I've watched the videos concerning the D11 100 times but you left us newbies hanging really bad when it comes to wiring the esc's and also programing the remote to make them work. can you please, please, please do a video explaining in detail with close ups of the wiring and show how you did it step by step, like i said , love the vids and i have my rolling chassis but this is my first rc build and i really need your help and I'm sure there are several of us out there who could use the extra tutelage .. thanks so much man cheers
Yeah I had clip covering this and it got deleted by mistake. I am and tied up for a few weeks, but I can make a video explaining this, you can watch the D5 or the skid steer video on channel mix for tracks
I'm definitely missing something with my esc and blade lift. I had two esc originally and used a y connection, but the actuators would run at different speeds. Opted for a single 40amp esc to run both actuators. They operate the same speed but i can't tilt my blade like yours Joe... not sad, just miffed.
Miss a big chunk in the middle..... I can figure out how to get the Blade on, I hope others can. Overall, this is FANTASTIC!!! If you've seen what a RC4WD Dozer goes for, this is only a a fraction of the cost! It's going to take a Regime change to curb this runaway Inflation.... If the Rent increases don't leave me homeless by then, I want to build one! Couldn't you Daisy Chain 2 Hobbywing 60A 1060 ESCs for the Blade? Looks like there's room for bigger ESCs. Thank you! This is a very creative project!
I am missing one clip, got deleted somehow, I will redo this video in the future to make it more complete and yes you can use 2 larger esc, and through the channel mix make it work!
I like the idea of using the servos and your sprockets tho. I have a 2nd d11 to be built. I found your link in the Facebook group. If you decide to sell me a set to do my 2nd d11 I would greatly appreciate it
Hi, great video, ok.I am new to RC and up to now been using Heng Long transmitter and receiver to get my Bruder Cat 963 loader running on RC, which is running great, but really want to understand ESCs and how to wire them up to a Flysky receiver, can you give me some idea of what i need, maybe a short video on just the wiring up, what ESCs to buy, just for dummies like me..lol...oh and the drive motors.cheers....
I have been using mostly continuous rotation servos for drive but I am planning another tracked AG tractor and will be using esc and geared motors, will post when I gather all the parts
@@joe_of_all_trades Hi, ok, following everything you are doing, just got my D11 today, now getting all the parts I need, as I wish to have an operating ripper, plus blade tilt, forward and back, will I need the 10 channel Flysky to do this...cheers..
Would love to see a d5 of yours built. And would you sell the sprockets and servo spacers? I've built 1 d11 using maghom motors, mounts and sprocket adapters. The tracks really can't handle alot of use. Ive removed maybe 5 pieces per side now. I hear 3d printed 100% infill tracks dont stretch.
Another video covering the speed controls for the linear actuators would be greatly appreciated. In your parts list you say a single speed control for a tank that’s what I purchased and I’m now stuck
