To me this is one of the greatest collection of musicians to ever play in a band.the greatest bass player ever Jeff Berlin, the greatest drummer ever bill bruford and Allan Holdsworth is in my top four guitarists of all time I would say Frank Zappa Robert Fripp John McLaughlin and Allan Holdsworth, and finally Dave Stewart is up there in my top four favorite keyboardist of all time of course Keith Emerson , Patrick moraz, Rick Wakeman & Dave Stewart. Got to get some love out to Tony banks & Richard Wright. Too bad it couldn't have been Keith Emerson Bill bruford Allan Holdsworth & Jeff Berlin that night, but Dave Stewart will definitely do.

The last ludwig and Hayman drumset that bill Bruford used. Shortly before he left & Went back to King Crimson again for the 2nd time and started using a light blue Tama superstar. But I love the 3 roto Toms That configuration right there was pretty awesome. Certainly one of my favorite kits he ever used. Cool rack of percussions behind into his right. Stewart Bruford Holdsworth & Berlin What a timeless sound & Majestic group

While still in the 70's timeframe, Brand X is worth checking out. Some similar sounds (for example, little break at 1:09-1:16, is real close). Also, Bruford collaborated with the guitarist (check John Goodsall Project, watch?v=J0iqWVkUeog). More recently, Goodsall formed Fire Merchants, which is closer to the heavier side of material he did with Brand X (read: shred-driven guitar side of Acid Jazz).

@@graxjpg Holdsworth is a one trick pony. Dimeola plays Jazz, Fusion, Flamingo, Gypsy Jazz, Neo Classical Metal, Hard Rock, Mediterranean Jazz, Latin Jazz, Classical and gawd knows what else. Holdsworth plays legato scales up and down the neck with no melody. That's is all he ever did. So I'm not sure what your point is but if you have any facts, please feel free to provide them. Otherwise maybe you should get back yo your x-box now???

Chris Choir your system of comparison is flawed. Dave Stewart, holdsworth, Corea, and ADM are all as good as one another and they only play different kinds of music because it’s what’s in their heads! They’re all as good at getting it out and you shouldn’t judge them for having different sounding music playing in their heads. and I don’t have an Xbox.
