It does kind of suck to swap goalies but, realistically, we need to know what we can expect from Ullmark, and there won't be a better time to test him than now. Now we know Sway is great, we need to know what to expect from Ullmark. Because if he sucks in game 2, we just go back to Sway and have plenty of games left. There probably won't be a better oportunity to try him out with relatively low pressure.

I’m good with Ullmark starting game 2. It’s what we do, why stop now? Change it up, Bs lost last couple seasons while not sticking with the rotation. The team is comfortable with it, the goalies are on board, and both are better than anything the Leafs can drudge up in net. And what a mental headlock the Bs have on the Leafs. Even not playing a dominant game they still win 5-1 with an absurd amount of posts/crossbars. I almost believe they legit wanted Toronto in Round 1 and not the Lightning. Great start.

1. Lindholm and Peeke deserve a little credit on the Beecher goal. It didn't start with Maroon. 2. Sometimes hitting the post means the goalie gave you nothing to shoot at. That includes Sway way out of the net on that scary play. 3. That Geekie play in the 3rd was great but he also had the two bad turnovers early in the game. 4. Why oh why do the players coming out of the box have to immediately skate for a line change. That 4 0n 3 kill almost went for naught with all five guys at the bench at the same time.

After hearing Beecher's between-periods interview on the radio feed, I'm never calling him John or Johnny. I've now renamed him "Umm Beecher" in my head.

Here’s the thing with the goalies: Swayman put up this performance tonight *after being well-rested*. Both he and Ullmark put up fantastic numbers all season *while being consistently well-rested*. We don’t know how Swayman will perform with a heavy workload. Yes he could continue to dominate, but maybe the secret sauce is the extra rest. I think that’s why you need to switch.

Swayman was solid and the Bruins played smart and patient, that wasn’t as much a slaughter as it was a Leaf clinic on how to give yourself no chance to win and how to quickly lose a game. Looking forward to game 2!

I saw a more serious scrappy side of the Bruins I haven’t seen all year. Leafs came out flying and the Bs held off the all out assault. Swayman was outstanding. Debrusk got involved and Carlo - Lindholm held their own.

Monty might shift the goalies like regular season or shift them between home stands, or shift them between series, or any other ways they convey and agree upon.

@14:15. In the Stanley Cup playoffs, a team will only go as far as your depth players will take you. People often look at me like I have two heads when I say that but it's true. Obviously your best players need to be your best players but the bottom guys have to be game-breaking.

It felt like the Leafs were trying to play a "big bad" physical game but they didn't know how to do it properly and failed miserably. The hits, sure...but Domi and Bertuzzi were the epitome of making bad decisions while trying to get under our skin. The Bruins matched where they needed to, but I thought did an excellent job of treating the Leafs' physicality like the preschool version that it was. GO Bs!

Couple things here. Rotate goalies. When one had a great game in the regular season you rotated. Ullmark started game against Senators it was Swaymans turn. Rotate. Both power play goals by group 2. Thought they look better. Watched Dangle SNOT! Go B's

Sway was brilliant but I think you still have to stick with the rotation. If Uhlmark is good or great in Game 2 then that’s awesome obviously and if he isn’t well it’s only game 2. I heard all week about how much better Toronto’s forwards were and how they were such a tougher team now. Some things never change.

Domi had a hair across his ass right from the get go with the cross checking and slashing at Marchy on opening draw!? Domi was irritated as hell all game and u could see he was frustrated more and more as game went on and he really seemed to have it out for Marchy cuz he seemed to just be following marchy around trying to hit and slash him as much as possible!!?? He slashed Marchy at least 2-3 times...im sure there was probably more that i didn't see tho!? Hey if hes more concerned with chasing marchy around he can keep doing it all series and Bruins will just play hockey!!?? LOVED THE HIT BY MAROON!!! Especially if goalie isnt used to playing that much that often...which could be case with Sway or ullmark!? Since theyve been rotating for basically last 2 seasons so neither of them is really accustomed to playing games that frequently so the rotation could be best plan!? Its not like either goalue is bad!? Theyre both really really good goalies, best tandem in league, so im confident both of them can handle it and can win!? Im almost positive theyre guna stick with rotation and go with Ullmark for game 2!? I don't think you go to Ullmark in Game 2. The lesson from last year is to stay with the hot hand, but ... for no more than 3 games in a row. Play Swayman, and if he performs like he just did, he gets game 3 as well, but not game 4. If he falters a bit, go to Ullmark for one or two.

We had one shot atbthis series....you gotta beat them w out Nylander ....we gave away home ice now and we just got Andrew Peak hurt for the rest of series. Top 6 has been trash and Chucky has been a mess! Thanks Chucky for that winnimg goal you let up. On you! And the entire teams compete level which was not good yet again. No consistency

Swayman needs to stay in net until he loses a game. You don't bench a goalie after a performance like that. If Swayman plays game 2, and loses, THEN you switch the goalie out. Pulling a goalie when they are on a high like this is a horrible idea!
