I know the Canucks lost, but I miss when they were at least competitive...now they're basement dwellers in a relatively pedestrian Pacific division, and they will be for a while.

Are you kidding? The overwhelming majority of Canadians east of Alberta were cheering for the Bruins, CBC did a poll. Vancouver was slandered by the media without mercy as a group of divers and villains, when in reality, we had 2 pests (LaPierre and Burrows) and 1 guy who I will admit drew some questionable penalties (Kesler) but in no way worse than Crosby or other star players. Boston has their fair share of dirty players, attempted murderer Captain Chara and the biggest rat in the league Marchand. But they were propped up as heroic underdogs. Their run to the cup was impressive, I'll admit, but if the refs hadn't put the whistles away and allowed the Bruins the revert to rock em sock em old time hockey, different series all together. They didn't outplay the Canucks, who were a vastly better team when it came to hockey skill, they beat the shit out of them. Whatever, I'm just blowing off residual salt from 8 years ago, we're a very jaded fan base, lol.
