Martin as the cultural giant with Charlotte and Matt as his confuzzled friends in sketches from the short-lived, one-series-only sketch show 'Bruiser' (2000) starring Olivia Colman, Martin Freeman, Matt Holness, Charlotte Hudson, David Mitchell and Robert Webb.
With that jumper and that hair Martin reminds me of Seth Green so much. ;)
Clips are from episodes 5 and 6

Some modern art is interesting and thought-provoking. Abstract art, however, good lord. It's like the artist is taking the piss from people trying to deeply interpret his/her random smearing of paint on a canvas.
@billied2003
@billied2003 7 лет назад
+GMovieSeeker youve sorta misunderstood the idea of abstract art a bit there. if you look at william turner's late watercolour's you can see a formation of the main idea of abstract art coming through. turner starts out painting boats on the water but then takes out the boat and the water. what are you left with? and thats really the point, its just pretty without being bogged down by trying to be anything. for some reason people think that enjoyment of abstract art is some super wanky interpretative thing when really its just pretty colours etc.
@GMovieSeeker
@GMovieSeeker 7 лет назад
...But then the question becomes: what's so special about just some pretty colors on a canvas? Why should anyone pay any money for the effort of the artist making it, let alone thousands and millions of dollars? That's the point. "Well, those are nice colors, but I can paint something like this myself."
@billied2003
@billied2003 7 лет назад
you really can't paint those colours yourself. its a massive deception that anybody can paint a Rothko or something. if you see amateurish abstract art you can quite easily tell just from the confused brush strokes and bad choices of colour. keep in mind as well that these paintings are massive too. like there is still the same amount of skill going into an abstract piece thats going into a painting of person or object, just theres no real way to say "oh that doesnt look like a person so its bad" (which is a bad way of looking at art aswell). of course some of the prices are inflated by the fact that these artists are famous and art collectors want to use them as an investment. but they still have quite a lot of value within them just for their skill and technique and beauty. i recommend you look at more abstract art so you understand thats it still has an immense amount of skill put into it

Its a disgrace how much older Freeman looks in 2017! Scandalous really. Just seen Sherlock 4 and he looks really old, i mean, like, hobbit old in that, with grey hair and a lined face. He looks boyish here but 17 yrs later, he looks really old, as though he by-passed middle age altogether. Old. He should sort himself out. Jumped from like 26 to 66 in 17 yrs. Ive written to my MP because he was funnier then too. Old...
