I just realised, Part 5 characters deaths were considered a happy ending. Every fallen member of the traitors has their beloved one waiting on heaven. For example: Abbacchio has his partner, Narancia has his mom and Bucciarati has his dad. All of them are waiting for their beloved to gather with them peacefully.

From this perspective, Bruno's emotional turnabout in the clock tower makes even more sense. He's really taken ownership of Trish and all his friends' well-being like a true parent. When he says "No family worries about that," it's not that he's being naive or simply lying to sooth Trish's feelings. He GENUINELY BELIEVES that a family would not half to worry about backstabbing each other, because that's not what the word "Family" means to Bruno. So when Trish's ACTUAL father tries to kill her, that truly is the lowest possible thing a person can do in Bruno's eyes. The antithesis of everything he stands for. This is why he tells Diavalo "You'll never understand how I feel." Because he at that point is more of a parent to Diavalo's child than the villain even would try to understand.

Abbacchio dying was one of those few times in an anime where I actually have a tear rolling down my eye. Watching Narancia in denial and the moment he says he doesn't want to leave him "All Alone" was genuinely heart breaking for me.
