okay so I believe the meaning of the song is that he is so reminiscent of the past that he is forgetting to move forward. In the beginning it shows how our generation is getting more into technology rather than focusing on our surroundings. Mid-video as he replays his old sport videos it shows that he misses and values the past. End of video he hits bruno because in the past he never fought for the girl he longed for, he was too busy doing sports. Years later, now he realizes that the girl is what he truly should have pursued cause now he's alone and so everything in his dream is what he wishes for. Its nice to see a different type of video rather than typical lost love (:

Seeing the comments, I had to put my opinion on this after listening for some time. From the video itself, we can see that he had a glorious past that he can't detach himself from. He's stuck in the past. We can also see at the very end, a sense of anger for someone who as far as we can tell, stole his girl. I think it might allude to a time in the past where he had a choice, the championship or his girl, and he could only choose one. He chose the championship or the sport and is now regretting it. Physical superiority lasts for only as long as your body lasts in its top form, but love..., true love lasts much longer. Now he's trying to hold onto his past so as to distract himself from what he could have maintained to this day had he not chosen otherwise. Don't give up easily is the primary message, on love. True love is hard to come by. . . .

but id like to think he gave it all..to both the sport and his girl. the were both happy then. then he eventually got out of the sport. after which he couldnt find a field he could peak at. that made him all grim and sad and not fun to be around with. relation started falling apart even though he tried...but he was more of a looser in most aspects by then. wife found an other more successful charming guy. cant blame his wife cause it was kind of way too diffucult to set right. she went with the guy. our hero tried his best but wasnt enough. edit : but yeah. i get your point. he kind of made fucked up decisions.

Idk dude it seems like she was already his and he stopped the "other man" from talking to her to which she replies "Yep I'm yours silly me lol" in the way she points at her ring and then at him. True, it definitely seems as if he values the past so much that he can't move forward but it also seems that he thinks his life would be better if his wife stayed faithful to him. this video is beautiful. the song itself is great too but the whole idea of living your best life inside your dreams and although they mean nothing in the real world they mean something to you and that’s the beauty of it. notice how he suddenly had hair in his dreams and was so much more energetic and had a wife. i believe deep down we all live our own realities in our dreams, i know i do.

This song was basically a love theme I had with an old partner, back when we were in a very long and chaotic early-20s relationship. The years of post-breakup tension and resentments have caused such a riff between us that we are not even in talking terms anymore. It got so bad that I had to block them from everything. There was a point in time when this person meant the world to me. Now I can't even stand the thought of their presence near me. It's sad how such a sweet, loving tune can elicit such jaded, regretful feelings. And I'm glad the video somewhat reflects that.

I don’t think it’s about a girl at all. I think it’s about his passion for the game. He has trophies and his entire living space is surrounded by it and yet at work he’s trying to express that passion hoping someone else has it too but there’s a bunch of kids just not giving a shit. Then at the end with him throwing the ball, I don’t think that was out of spite or jealousy more so to see if “I still got it”
