This was from GOOGLE : BRUNO MARS said he was influenced by artists such as Keith Sweat, Jodeci, and R. Kelly. As a child, he also took notice of Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, New Edition, Bobby Brown, Boyz II Men, Teddy Riley, and Babyface. At the same time, he also listened to 1950s rock 'n' roll, doo-wop music, and Motown. And I know ... American blacks are the MOST imitated and studied style on EARTH. But HATE is killing us.
Best reactions I've seen, and I've seen about 20. I love this video, but 'Leave the Door Open' is my favorite song so far. It was very inspiring to me when I first heard it, even though I heard some tongue-in-cheek lyrics like these in that song. After I heard that song and read Bruno Mars' humorous letter to the Grammys last year, I was pretty sure they would be coming out with something like this. I love Silk Sonic -- these two guys and their backup singers all go together like silk!!!
"Smokin Out The Window" songwriters: Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak, and D'Mile Producers: Bruno Mars & D'Mile Music Video Directors: Bruno Mars and John Esparza Vocals, guitar, percussion: Bruno Mars Vocals: Anderson .Paak Bass, piano: D'Mile Drums: Homer Steinweiss Please react to the whole album.
This is one of my favorite reaction videos. Most of the time others chop up the video by stopping and starting it without giving the video a chance to show how it the music is performed. Or they over talk the video by communicating to us the viewer, then miss out on the actual performance. You didn’t disturb the flow which gave you the chance to see the video in its entirety. Then you reacted to the video after it was over, so much respect for reacting to this video the right way. Thank you!
I am a new subscriber because this came up because I love this song and your reaction is perfect it doesn't matter what age you are if you can't laugh and enjoy this song something's wrong with you❤❤❤❤
Great reaction guys. It is too bad that the album missed the deadline for the next Grammys, but Leave The Door Open is eligible for Song Of The Year. Please react to Put On A Smile. I think it is the best on the album.
Unfortunately Skate gets a bad wrap. It’s just as well done as all the music, but the style of it is more Philly international than Motown. That said, the whole album project with the order of songs is like tellin a story. They were in time for the Grammys, but the Grammys got cancelled. 😖
I agree with what you said about Skate. It is extremely well done, too, and has the same great harmonies and interesting chords, but I think the Philly sound, with more emphasis on the strings, was a little less appealing to younger listeners than the Motown sound. But where it's placed in the album, and how well it fits into the storyline, is perfect and really shows it off....a fun, flirty, and very danceable vibe.
Damn y’all right, they did miss that Grammy’s cut off, oh well lol still an incredible album and they could still get nominated for “Leave The Door Open” (I like this song more though).
