What a fantastic gift👏🏻. Although I don't envy you sitting through most of those 😂. I think the only way i would watch those again is if it was a gift. The documentary is excellent, though. Thanks Stripey👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Pal. you're "I think the only way i would watch those again is if it was a gift" comment is spot on. I have seen a few over the years, but not too many. The Doc was superb Cheers bud 👍
Nice one Stripey 😊 that's your home entertainment sorted for the next couple of weeks 😂 Whoever thought back in the day that we'd be wanting to watch these films, and actually enjoying them, And well done Amandeep, top man 👍🏼
Amazing gift from Amandeep. Maybe you should do some live watch alongs for these movies Stripey. Would be great fun to see your reactions to some of craziness happening on screen
You reminded me i still have The Man The Myth on vhs, along with the Big Boss 1974 from Rank. Was also lucky enough to have got the Hong Kong Legends G.O.D dvd before it was discontinued featuring the uncut 40min Bruce (since surpassed mightily by the Arrow version). I agree, man myth was quite a fun movie
Nice one Stripey. People wanted more of Bruce Lee and that's why these films were made. I liked some of them and you have to keep in mind that they weren't Bruce Lee. Thank you and always take care mate 😁
Always a pleasure watching you stripey. keep it up with more Bruce Lee / Bruceploitation content. That genre was part of my youth. I used to go to the Duece { Times Square 42st } to watch many reruns of Bruce Lee films and Bruceploitation films during the 70s and early 80s. These films would play over and over in some of the most dingy run down theaters in NYC . These theaters had either sleazy or dangeruous characters sitted next to you. The theaters always smelled of pot { Cannabis } and popcorn. I always got my martial arts fix at the duece. I dont care what anybody says, Growing up in that era , In that time at the duece, I can firmly say that Bruceploitation is and will forever be linked to the master...Bruce Lee. I mean really, How many actors can claim they were imitated in over 100 films? No one! The only person who i can think of and possibly comes close in being imitated so much is Elvis! I think Bruceploitation is a huge compliment if you ask me.
Thank you, mate. I'm kind of envious, watching Bruce classics & these Bruceploitation films at The Duece in 42 street, sound bloody awesome. I'm not a huge fan of the genre, but, what a gift. Cheers Pal 👍
That is a great gift I bet you're glad you didn't buy it when it first came out. The haters who say you're running out of content, have never seen your channel because you do other content outside the Bruce Lee world. Keep up the amazing work.
Those films are bonkers and a couple I occasionally go back to. Chinese Stuntman is a lot of fun and the Dragon Lee film shown on The Real Bruce Lee is crazy fun/ny lol. Keep up the good work buddy. All the best.
Cheers Pal. The two you mentioned are great for what they are. The Dragon Lee film, in The Real Bruce Lee is called "Last Fist of Fury" I love the rock/flowerpot kicking lol Thanks Mate 👍
Funnily enough I've just been watching one of the discs from this set still working my way through it, it's superb although I've always had a soft spot for brucesploitation and have bought a few books and dvds of them over the years. Very nice gift to get anyway !
Thanks Stripey I myself enjoyed wasn’t a big fan but after watching them This Documentary Classic doco forgot about Bruce Li /Bruce Le/Dragon Lee classic there stories a unforgettable thanks again mate from AOTEAROA or 🇳🇿
Enjoy them! They are part of Eastern action cinema so for fans of Kung fu movies, they are a must. And the box set give great context to them and their frame work.
Hiya Stripey. As you normally say at the beginning of the video, (I hope you're doing well), right. I just received through the post today ((THE GAME OF CLONES BRUCE PLOITATION COLLECTION VOL.1)) dvd box set and I can tell you it looks amazing, out of this world like The Arrow Box Set, amazing. I just noticed though my box set has 7 discs and 12 films including the (Enter The Clones Of Bruce) documentary but it doesn't have the blue envelope with (The Big Boss 2) film or documentary in at the back. Plus I watched your previous 2 videos on ((The Game Of Clones)) box set again and the post you showed said 8 discs and either 14-15 Bruce Ploitation Films. Is this because it was part of the ((400 Send In The Clones Bundle)) - pre order I presume their limited edition or is it something different, I'm baffled??? Hope you had a great time at (The Rise Of The Dragon Event) in Leeds. Mate what I wouldn't have given to gone to that.😁 I briefly looked at the Facebook link to your (Rise Of The Dragon Event) pictures and they looked awesome.
Your a lucky guy Stripey .Enjoy those dcds.Another great video as usual love your Bruce lee videos.I truly apologize hope you can forgive buddy.Bruce lee fans are awesome
I’ve been watching and reading about Jackie Chan also he’s extremely interesting too. NEVERRRRR stop the Bruce stuff either but Jackie has a lot of stunt work you could get into I didn’t know how much he did stunt wise it’s crazy
I too had mixed feelings about Brucploitation films. Growing up In the Seventies my hometown only had two drive-in theatres, I would see the previews on TV, but they rarely came my way to see them but I was always curious. After watching The Clones of Bruce Lee and these films I came to appreciate both the work of these actor martial artists, and especially Michael Worth's efforts, He did a great job with this project.
Another cool video mate excellent gift from a Facebook friend of mine .i watched the doc on Prime it was interesting to watch but im still not a fan some of those movies were garbage the rest notu cup of tea .i did see the legend of Bruce Lee (Goodbye Bruce Lee) and The Man The Myth with Li at the cinema back in the day a waste of money my opinion.all the best Pete
Thanks Bud. I thought the documentary was awesome, but you are correct, most of the films are (to put it nicely) hard to watch, and not a patch on Bruce Lee originals. It was very kind of Amandeep. Cheers Pal 👍
Hello Stripey ! Even though, same as you, I don't like those movies, I must admit that, on a drinking night, with a bunch of friends, it could worth a look 🤔. Thanks for your video. Cheers 🍻 mate
Hey Bud, 100%. I watched The Clones of Bruce a while back with my younger brother & we were laughing our ass*s off. It was a very generous gift indeed. Cheers pal 👍
Wow, what a great gift for Him to give. I know You will treasure them. I have some more stuff to send. All from a Great Mate of mine. I just need to wait for His Wife to drop It all off, (She was going to chuck them) But I have saved them, and they will be winging their way to You as soon as I can. I know You are going to be over the moon with these very rare Items. And You will be envied again (Sorry Mate). And another first review out of the box. I will have the memories of all of us trying to, out do each other, when buying Bruce related stuff. To be continued.......
It was very kind of Amandeep (I truly have the most generous & kind subscribers/friends) Wow, more stuff, mate? You have only just sent me the superb ETD soundtrack. I'm speechless. Thanks Bud 👍
Hi mate. One of my subscribers made them for me ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OIoEwRL808s.html I have pinned the maker at the top of the video. Good Luck 👍
I have spoken about this before, mate. I'm not sure if using CGI or A.I. would be a good idea with Bruce's original 72 footage. We have Arrow's The Final Game of Death which I think is a perfect companion to Bruce's completed 4 films 👍
Another great video Stripey, btw my 2 absolute favourite Bruce Li films are Fist Of Fury part 2, I have the German press dvd which is the only one that is completely uncut, it is fairly brutal with some worthwile fight scenes to boot. My other favourite is Return Of The Tiger which has the most bonkers final fight scene sequence with Li taking on Paul Smith from Midnight Express fame, that is definetely worth watching post Friday night pub outing lol. Is there anyway I can email you Stripey as I have some news about some Sex Pistols stuff I want to share with you.
Thank you. I'd like to see the uncut FOF pt2 sounds cool. Ito get in touch you have to check out my about page, mate. It's easier on a laptop or PC. With the app is almost impossible to find 👍
It's a great Kung Fu flick. you can tell the fight choreography is done by Yuen Woo Ping (Snake in Eagles Shadow/Drunken Master) I need to re shoot the video, hopefully the next couple of weeks (I'm snowed under at the mo) 👍
@StripeyR The Lewis character is hilarious and the inverted pagoda is a great idea. On the other hand, watched The Big Boss - Part 2 trailer and it looks like horrible schlock 😅
Hi Stripey, I saw Charles do a review and I just had to add my comment it was too much to write again… Thanks Charles really enjoyed your video, I found the documentary useful in learning how disgusting the exploitation of Bruce Lee became after he died. The HK film industry paid not a shred of dignity or respect ultimately to Bruce, if we are being honest, no matter how 40 plus years later people may try to repaint that period in the documentary-Grim, cheap, despicable, that period really has zero redeeming features (the released version of game of death being the ultimate insult by Golden Harvest?) other than the earnest work of Bruce Li who I think tried to be relatively earnest in his portrayal, particularly in Bruce Lee the man the myth. Bruce was an artist and philosophical minded fighter who sought to grasp reality, to cut out bullshit - these exploitation movies are at best cynical cash ins fooling gullible and genuine fans alike, and at worst disparaging caricatures that further create lies about a flawed but phenomenal human being who passing away at 32 deserved so much better by all concerned.
Well said, mate. The name of the genre say's it all "Brucesploitation" & that's exactly what it was. GOD 78 (in my humble opinion) is the ultimate in Bruce Lee exploitation Cheers Pal 👍
Hi Stripey, another great video as usual 😊 What a lovely gift, so generous of Amandeep 👍 The saying goes imitation is a form of flattery and there's certainly a lot of it when it comes to Bruce Lee. Brucesploitation isn't for everyone, definitely not for me but these films also need preserving as many of the actors have sadly passed away. The Chinese film studios were trying to fill the gap left by Bruce, some successful some not so much. Enjoy them Stripey, I'm looking forward to your take on The Big Boss 2 😊✌️👍 Have a great week and hope your internet is sorted soon. Take care 😊
Thank you. I keep getting things sent to me (including excellent drawings)🐈🙏 I'm not a huge fan of the genre, but, it looks like I will have to sit and watch these. It was very generous & kind of Amandeep. Our internet is still not on (it's been a nightmare) I had to upload this from my phone, it took hours using 4G 😵💫 So videos this week may be difficult, but Mrs Stripey & myself are trying to sort it. Have a great week & thanks again👍
@@StripeyR Thank you Stripey. My goodness, they should sort your internet, maybe ask for a reduced bill given it's taken so long!? Changing the subject, did you hear back from the Heritage museum at all? Have a great weekend 😊✌️
