I hope you all have a happy Halloween and I want to thank you for watching the video. As I had a lot of fun painting and weathering my first aircraft model👍 :D Like and subscribe if you enjoyed the video.
I have to say...your work appeared effortless. I especially enjoyed learning about chipping and how meticulous the process can be. Thank you for sharing. Avid fan.
This is a stupidly underrated video. This totally deserves more likes and views! This whole channel is stupidly underrated! This is such good work too!!
A nice video about the wayof your work with the painting of the Focke Wulf with corresponding explanations. Nice end result, especially in this small scale. Have a nice weekend, Greetings, Joachim
Great job. As a pilot on piston engined aircraft I always noticed the chipping of the propellor edges, wing- and elevator leading edges and bottom first due to stones flying around. As you depict the plane in rest, maybe deflate tyres too?
That is a detail I noticed another person commented about the tires not being deflated, in which they should have. But was overlooked by me, thank you for your criticism. Also great to hear that this German rust bucket was somewhat enjoyable to your eyes. :-)
I like the slap it on approach and it works.....probably best brush videos ive seen...if you fuss paint then things tend go wrong...ive watched the armour vids too..and im deffo going to try ur methods...ty theres some film footage in colour of abandoned a/c in 1945 in germany and this is how they looked...brill
You know your way around a model with a paint brush for sure. Excellent technique with the Acrylic paint. The only recommendation I could make is that the tires of an abandoned plane would be flat after some years of neglect. Or they would’ve deteriorated completely.
I love your videos and am intrigued how you get such good effects. I've come back to the hobby after using Humbrol enamels for years. I'm now trying to adapt the acrylics like Mr Hobby Aqueous and Tamiya acrylics. What I cannot understand is how you paint on top of other layers. When I do this, the base layer is attacked, even after over a day of drying. What I then get is washed out colours. Interesting, at 4 min 20 secs, it looks like your clear has dissolved some of the gray and this can be seen streaking on to the green (or its a trick of the light). I'm having huge problems when I apply clear as this also washes out the base colour. I'm desperately hoping you can tell me where I'm going wrong with my use of these acrylics. Thanks in advance.
I’m only using water to brush paint with Tamiya acrylics usually. But as far as I remember. The clear varnish you see did not affect the base paint just only the angle of light that made it seem that way. You may be using thinners for your acrylics or the paints your using are not up to date. Hope this helps you. :)
I believe as long as the resin your using isn’t acidic to the acrylic paint, then I wouldn’t worry about it ruining your paint job. Water based resin water is a safe option. Just in case you don’t want to risk it. :)
@@Modkits131 thank you very much for the reply, I really appreciate it, I subscribed, very valuable knowledge. btw are you not interested in weathering gunpla?
I have gunpla on my list of things to do in the future. Along with Warhammer 40k, Ships, Sci-fi and fantasy. I just need to finish these AFV models before I have anymore added to my pile of shame. 😅
