"The Greyhound scream of death." My vet officially diagnosed my boy (Buddy), as a "drama queen".

I use a Furminator on my greyhound. I understand it has metal ridges, but I use it very gingerly. My grey seems to enjoy it. Pretty mind-blowing how much hair comes off!

This was adorable to watch. :). ...My black greyhound Cairo didn’t get the memo that black greys don’t shed as much. She has a pretty thick coat (for a grey) and it’s hard to keep up with the drifts of black hair everywhere. She doesn’t even wear a coat in the northern Utah winter and loves to run in the snow. Crazy girl. But I rescued her as a puppy from the Humane Society and I think she comes from a different breeding line than racing greyhounds. ...Anyway, her shedding could never match my German Shepherd-greyhound mix-he was a shed monster. I’d pop in a movie and zoom-groom him, and still could hardly make a dent. Miss my shed-monster. :) ...Thanks for the video-your greys are beautiful.

Love the glove. Also, a product I've used for years for removing loose fur and dander both during brushing and bathing is the Zoom Groom. It's waterproof and does a greyt job on the furkids. Most often one will witness the greyhound version of "Oooooh, don't stop!" during the use of it both in the yard and the bath. ☺ Just be sure to employ a fur trap at the tub drain for this... Love your vids here on YT. Well made, with humor and love for the pups.

Since getting our greyhound, Sweetbaby, I now welcome visitors to the House of Dog Hair! We also thought greyhounds didn’t shed. WRONG! Even daily vacuuming and the ROOMBA can not keep up. The special bundle of love makes up for all the clumps of hair floating through the house. Perhaps our next will be black. The fact that we MUST have another shows shedding has moved very far down our list of concerns! Sweetbaby and I love the glove brush.

Another "Greyt" video ! Our white 4 yr old has been shedding like crazy for at least 30 days now. We also use a glove and she does seem to enjoy it. We also have a 20 yr old rescue dachshund and she is shedding also. Living in our home right now is like living in a snow globe when they shake here in Alabama.

Our black greyhound is a shedder!(she's Irish)🙄 I'm always surprised at how shiny and healthy looking her coat is yet she has flaky skin. So I'm looking forward to yourself next video!

I own Borzoi, and the mostly-white Borzoi seem to shed WAY more than the darker coated ones. I've heard that the growth-to-shed cycle for white hairs is shorter than darker ones due to the difference in follicles. Not sure how much of that is true, but it's entirely possible. :D Beautiful Greys!

I use a curry comb :) I also noticed my black greyhound and galgo don't shed as much as my cow dog, who has a really fuzzy, almost plush, coat.

Oh you got the “itchy spot”. My red girl loves her neck to be scratched. She has very soft fur. Almost like rabbit fur. I also have a big Irish brindle and he is very furry!!! I have to use a furminator in spots on his lower back and flanks. :). Greyt video as always!!

You should definitely do an episode on TGSD, "The Greyhound Scream of Death." I lifted our grey's leg to check on a possible tick when he was laying down, and he screamed like he was being waterboarded. It terrified me because I had no idea if I'd done something. Now I realize he was being a big baby.

Thanks for showing the best grooming techniques, will be getting one of these grooming gloves for my Greyhound. Did you manage to control the dandruff on one of the greyhounds coats? Are you considering a video about dental hygiene and nail clipping?

I've owned greyhounds for over forty years and I use a stripping knife to groom her out and give her a cod liver oil capsules daily to keep her coat healthy

I have two black girls and one has a thin coat, but the other is much thicker and sheds the most.

Purchase a rubber toy with points on it!!!! They work great!!!! (Try it)
