When my samoyed (Pearl) would shed her undercoat it was every bit as epic. I would stuff a pillowcase full with the sheddings and save them. There was a lady in Minnesota who would buy the shed fur…she would wash it, spin it with a little wool into yarn, then knit sweaters mittens and hats from it, which she sold at quite a high price. Pearl would get steak dinners and treats from the check.
@Alizora Iosis This is a good point, but i don't think tics would be able to tell the difference between dog hair yarn or regular yarn so i don't think that would be an issue, and since most allergies related to dog fur is actually because of the dander and dog saliva, i think a good wash for the fur would solve the problem :)
Our Samoyed, Cookie, looked like a giant white yeti. She would sit in front of the gate and watch traffic go by. People thought it was a statue! When it was time to shed birds followed her around the yard picking up her undercoat to put in their nests. We vacuumed every single day and brushed every day as well. Great dog.
I had our Samoyed's fur spun into yarn and have made several afghan''s and scarfs. The fur is so sort and very warm. This dog is so patient! Ours isn't as patient.
You should be showed as example what taking care of dogs means. I hope every animal on earth will have this care from the bottom of the heart as You are giving to them ❤️
Something I’ve found that helps my fussy border collie with brushing is detangling spray. She gets small knots in her coat too, and hates having them brushed out, but the spray helps them come out with much less pulling.
if you brush them often, before the knots form, theyre a lot better for it. brushing out knots is you tugging on their skin for half an hour or longer.
It was so funny seeing Wooyoo run to her crate, open it, get in & try to hide!!😅🤣 She generates just as much fur like how when they shave sheep for wool!😳 Too funny!
@@mntr0609 Don't you have something under each non english commet like "translate comment to English"? I have "translate comment to Chinese". There must be a way to set it up.
it makes me so happy to see you all taking such good care of wooyoo and mocha. not many owners are willing to put in the hard work to keep their pups clean and healthy like you do!
I used to breed Samoyeds. They were always my favorite dog breed. They are affectionate and so sweet. Great dog if you have kids due to their gentle nature. I helped deliver a few litters. The last litter was mostly breach. I had to try and grab the first puppy to get him out. It's was difficult to do. I was so worried about mom and the first guy that they were the last litter. Every day I would check in on mom and puppies. One puppy, from the time he could walk, came over to me and licked me. I never had that happen before. I marked his paw thinking maybe it wasn't just him. It was him! I named him Cody. He was my last Sammy and I adored him. I was divorced, kids grown and on their own. I flew to Florida often to help my mom. I needed a tiny dog. I found a Pomeranian breeder and picked out Ana. She's like a tiny Samoyed with white and golden brown. She was supposed to be 5 to 7 lbs but is 10. She is my baby. I couldn't love her more. 💜
that was amazing to see Wooyoo open her crate like that and hide! As smart as she is adorable! Mocha is so cute as well! Great video of your wonderful pets!
Mocha's hair is growing back so nicely! He's turning back into a little fluff ball! And Wooyoo just melts my heart ❤️ Even though she doesn't want to be brushed she's such a good girl! Hiding in her "safe place" crate is adorable to see! I'm sure they both feel better now. And I hope Wooyoo (and Mocha) got a nice steak dinner as a reward! ☺️
I think Wooyoo is the cutest dog I’ve ever seen and mocha is such a cute fitting name for the other dog :D I’m surprised I watched a 10m video of dog grooming lol
I’m excited for you! I have a Japanese Spitz named Juno and he’s around 1 years and 11 months (yes a birthday coming soon) old now and he’s the sweetest dog ever! Shedding is surprisingly not terrible, a daily brush works for him but I’d recommend grooming outside since a lot of fur flies off. Good luck with your dog! 💙
Such a labor of love. Isnt it ironic that the most beauriful dog on the planet, with the most stunning coat, HATES to be brushed. Wooyoo, you and Mocha have no idea how much you are loved!
