RedCat Racing has a 3 channel with mixing that allows for front only, rear only, crab crawl, and standard 4 wheel steer. Even has a little LCD model that shows what mode you are in. Lansu 3TD is the model. $71.49 with the receiver. I have one with my old Sumo Crawler. Nice radio.
Radiolink transmitter has options for channel blending and also limiting how much the rear steer will move tires etc great radio tons of options and inexpensive for the features it has
Those locked diffs are only happy on dirt when it comes to the clod it works great only in the rear.. def thinking on getting another clod to make brushless but thought it would’ve been way faster.
I use a dumboRC controller. I wired in a self-centering 3-position switch that controls the rear steer like a dream! I wired it into the 3rd channel. I can give you more details if needed.
you might want to look at one the spektrum radio systems. I own the spektrum dx5c and its a good remote. also the switches are sideways then on the up or down buttons. Futaba are also good radios too. I hope this helps! ;)
Depending on your budget i would suggest castle creations mamba x or copper head. Personally i love the mamba x mostly because i like trying to get the most out of the setup, plus it is highly tunable with the castle link
Futaba all the way for a radio. They are higher quality and feel better than other radios I’ve used. They also have a fast response time. The receivers can be expensive, and a good transmitter is pricey, too. I use a 3pv for my Clodbuster, and it has rear steer mixing. You’ll want a 4pm if you want to use a button to switch between no rear steer, crabwalk, or normal rear steering because the 3pv can’t seem to do that for some reason. You’ll also want a 4 channel receiver because on the 3pv, the third channel can only be used for throttle mixing or the switch and the fourth channel is for steering mixing, not sure on the more expensive radios.
I have a quick question. I wanna do a brushless setup on mine. Just wanna make sure I have this info right. So I need two esc/motor combos and I set one up to go forward and the other esc/combo I set to go reverse. Now my question part. If I'm going sensored castle I just go into the esc setting and choose reverse for motor direction. Where if I go non sensored I just have to switch the wires to make the motor go in reverse. love your videos by the way I just recently found this channel.
First!! still watching. you should check ..can't you use a program card and just reverse one motors rotation? I think the radiolink radios can do the 4 steer look into it and find out for sure.
Pretty much the only original parts are the wheels, tires, bumpers and diff cases. The axle tubes are aluminum I just painted them black so they look stock
I just read when using the tamiya sensored esc that you can switch wires from ABC on the motor to connect to CAB on the esc to reverse the motor direction but timing should be set to zero.....
I'm new here I wanted to know if you sell the servo mounts I can't find them on the Internet I think you said you're custom made Em I would like to know if I could get a pair how much
