Hello! I do have a question. Do you seal the painting after it’s dry? Yupo is synthetic I’m curious if the paint could be scratched off since it sits on top and isn’t absorbed. Thanks!
Ooh that’s very interesting. Never used yupo paper before but always wanted a go. One question, will the paint stay out when it’s dry do you need to seal it with anything? Thanks xx
Thank you for your question Sue: I would keep your painting away from moisture and frame the Yupo painting behind glass and not hang it in direct sunlight. Hope this was helpful 😊
Thank you so much Mimi... The best way to protect the painting is to make sure it does not get wet and to frame it behind perspex or glass with frame. Don't hang your painting in direct sunlight your painting may fade over time... hope this was helpful :)
Stunning! Can’t wait to try this! One question, if I may? Did you take off the greenish brusho at the top right and replace it with brown Brusho (on re wetted Wupo)? That upper right background is so beautiful!
Oh I looove this. I painted with alcohol ink awhile back. Too many fumes from the alcohol and I had to stop. I used Brusho today on my photo paper. Wow, I had so much fun I could barely stop. I just used water and got some amazing effects. You bring such good ideas and joy to back. Abstract flowers !!! 🌸 bravo
Thank you! So pleased you found this inspiring! I loved alcohol inks, but they gave me a headache. Which is such a shame... But I was impressed with the Brusho and just dropping in water creates amazing effects!
I love this! I’m going to break down and order some. Thank you for your videos. Love your work. Did you leave this as it was or can you seal it, somehow?
Hi Karen l've just brought some Brusho l just wanted to know what you used to pierce the holes into the lid and how many holes did you do f l don't put the holes into the lid l can see big accidents happening lol l absolutely love your art and channel and G'Day from Australia 💞💞💞
G'day Kerry (in Australia!), I hope you enjoy playing with the Brusho! So pleased you like my art! Yay! I usually use push pins to punch holes into the top... start with one and just test to see how much comes out. Because of the design of the push pin, they are great as a top to stop the Brusho from escaping afterwards. Hope this was helpful, have fun 😊
Thank you Anne. To seal your Yupo watercolour painting use a high quality acrylic non-yellowing varnish on YUPO, such as Lascaux Fixativ or Krylon Crystal Clear.
Can you do this with watercolour rather than brusho? How does bleach work with watercolour (or is alcohol better?) I have some yupo paper and would like to try this with my watercolours, as I dont have any brusho...Thanks
Hi, I like to look at your watercolors and at the same time I wonder if I could also paint a picture ?! What format should I start with? You know it very well. Thank you!💖👍
Very intreguing and inspirational Karen, enjoyed this video as always which you've planned out what your talents will give a brilliant painting. Thanks greatly appreciated stay safe and healthy
Another awesome video. I have plenty of Yupo paper left over from my alcohol ink adventure, and just two weeks ago, I got my first batch of Brusho. I can't wait to try out your always terrific techniques.
Hi Karen! What a great idea! It looks wonderfull! Thank you very much for all this inspiration you share with us! I am so thankfull! It really keeps me going, If I stopped painting and don't know what to do next. 🙋🏻😘
Hi Lana... thank you for your question: I would frame the Yupo painting behind glass and not hang the framed picture in direct sunlight. Hope this was helpful 😊

Hi Karen I have only subscribed to your channel for only about a week and a half and my head is about to explode with all the great tips about painting! I see trying this painting with watercolor and salt!!! Thank you so much for your kindness and help! You are the best teacher for beginners I have seen! Will you ever be doing any live streaming, or a payed zoom class????
Hi Marvin, thanks so much! Really pleased you are finding the tutorials helpful! Good luck with the watercolour and salt. I have no plans at present to do live streaming because of my schedule. However I would love to do something like that in the future. Watch this space 😊
Great question Fergie. You can wipe watercolour off as well with a sponge. The best way to protect the painting is to make sure it does not get wet and to frame it behind perspex or glass and not to hang your painting in direct sunlight... hope this was helpful :)
I don’t have brusho so intend to try and paint this using a combination of watercolour paint and pencils which I’ll scrape over wet paper using an emery board nail file , which Karen suggested in a previous tutorial. No idea how it’ll turn out but it’ll be fun to try out 😊
This is a super cool demo, Karen. I'm going to do this tomorrow with a group of people, we're playing with new art materials. Thank you so much for doing all the legwork for this demo, and getting your fingers all painted!
