Wow.....they're smiling! They look like they have such a great time doing what they do. I have so much respect for bands that run around the stage and do all this crazy shit. So often I feel like heavy music takes itself far too seriously and you have a bunch of sad djenty bois standing still on stage. These dudes are straight CHESSIN through the entire set. Mad respect for this energy!
Amen! Parkway Drive feels the same way... anytime Winston walks out on stage you can visibly see how excited he is to be doing what he loves. Dare I say, it’s almost heartwarming.
The rawness, the quality, the energy. Only comparable to 1999ish Slipknot and few metal core bands at the peak (early and mid 2000s). The fear in the eyes of the people backstage waiting to play next after this performance says everything you need to know.
Drummer be smashing the shit outta every single song without having unnecesary toms or cymbals, keeping it basic and fantastic. Pocket grooves, great fills, brutal breaks, no bullshit like many other metal drummers nowadays. Respect.
This is everything to me. Watching my favorite band preform live (even just on a screen) directly touches my soul. These guys have so much fucking passion it seeps into my every fucking atom.
this is just, insane...gaku fucking crushing that drumset, ryo screaming like a fucking beast, YD,shinya and mitsuru destroying those strings. Best pro shoot crystal lake live.
Honestly, pretty much 75% of the Euro and American metalcore bands can just quit. These dudes are literally raising the bar too far for any other bands to get anywhere close to this kind of talent.
YES! aaaand no, because that's why bands from EU and USA needs to take them under their arms and bring them their audience so crystal lake can get more recognition AND the best of times. :)
@@SMASHLIVE I agree, I was half-joking when I commented this. I definitely would love to see these guys on tour with Every Time I Die, Parkway Drive or like even Suicide Silence or The Acacia Strain. Just some real bands with real history within heavy music.
So upset to see Ryo go but I'm gonna support him wherever he goes. And always gonna support Crystal Lake bc these dudes are BEYOND talented and their music has gotten me through so much.
The brutality of the assault is beyond one could imagine. Every single beat, rhythm, tempo, run, jump, twist & somersault verifying the magnificent brutality of their musicality talents and hugely amazed & dazzled the electrifying audiences! Great performance of the millennium....
I'm so worried about this band's future. Because I don't have the confidence that the guy from The Last Ten Seconds of Life will be able to match this kind of energy and performance that Ryo has. It's damn near unmatched.
When i was high school,i knew parkway drive, they will really proud seeing this japan band. Same power, same energy,in one genre... i'm prefer death metal but i really miss metalcore vibes like this 2000's era. Just missing.
I rarely have so many mixed feelings on the verge of tears, but this is definitely one of them, 11:00 this drummer loves what he does and it is for this kind of thing that I love metal Thanks Brutal Assault.
let’s go. this is sick. their live presence is phenomenal. the lead singer commands the crowd and really gets in there that was dope. the drummer is what drew me to this band. he keeps everything within the song and doesn’t need a huge. that set up does remind me of justin foley from killswitch engage. awesome set!
