@@JacobsKrąnųg No way. His voice is part of what makes this band unique. I always imagine this is how Megadeth should sound but Dave's voice fks it up. lol
Everyone in this band is great, obviously, but I'm really impressed by Away's performance here, he never was a hyper-technical gifted drummer as other people, but he always compensate that with amazing creativity on his fills, and drum patters, maybe that's a part of being technical at the end of the day, but I believe creativity is always more important than rather being fast, and hyper technical, especially when it comes to Voivod music, he such a fantastic drummer and artist, love him.

That's right!. He's like a punk drummer, but his playing is a voivod brand. And Away is the most important part of the creativity on the band, the album covers and distopic themes, everything. He's a real artist.
Agreed, I was just listening to "Tribal Convictions" and accidentally had my thumb on the screen to where it was sped up slightly. Kept thinking Jesus this is some of the most insane shit. It's not that I don't think he and the band aren't capable of that speed, it would just make the already out there music even more difficult for most people to get into. It would be like the band Athiest, they are fucking nuts and brilliant, but it's something to take in low doses. I could dance around to Voivod all day long
How to sound modern while keeping your trademark sounding. Not so many bands achieve that after 40 years in the bussiness. And still they sound ahead of the game The big 4 lost the battle so bad.. Long live Voivod !!
It's really great to see Chewy (and the rest of the band of course) just having the time of their lives up there. One of the best touring bands in the world right now.

VOI VOD Has No Equal. Rip Piggy, fking outer dimensional guitar god. The current incarnation of this band is immense and carries the tradition that even an original banger / devotee could only hope for. VOI VOD ÆTERNAL \m/\m/
@@jurgenv.6030 Yeah man. For sure. I actually had not followed them after Piggy died. I figured, how can thy keep going without Piggy, and Blackie for that matter. But i was a fan of Martyr in the day, and i clicked on a guitar playthrough of "Chewy" playing some of their stuff. That's when i found out he had been Voi Vods guitarist. And i was like holy sht this is the guy who stepped into Piggys shoes. I'm all about it. So i checked them out again and i'm like. There is no on else that could have done this so true to the spirit of Voi Vod.
Nice to see all those bandmembers from "Frontline Assembly" and "Die Krupps" headbanging from the stage left - seems they have had fun. 😁 (Rhys Fulber, Jürgen Engler, Jon Siren, Nils Finkeisen...)
Instant chills, 40 years a fan and still get the chills when I see them in a live capacity. I have to see this lineup before we die, I have only seen Voivod with Eric Forest on the tour for Voivod Lives, I took my brother Matthew with me to see them and it's a fond memory as my brother heckles them by shouting songs they were not going to play.
It is insane after such a period of albums I don't care for and loss of their main riff writer than the band has bulldozed past those obstacles and have been producing their best albums on this side of their career, hail voivod
