Why do I enjoy this kind of graphics much more than the ultra realistic modern ones?

The classic Level on The Subway for every fucking Game. Never fails.

this engine is almost 30 years old and people are still making amazing games with it.

I've heard a lot of people complain about Brutal Doom and Sgt MarkIV in general (apparently he's an asshole; he very well might be but I haven't looked into it myself), but I think it's honestly just blind backlash for all the people who put Brutal Doom on a pedestal. I'm not the hugest fan of the mod myself - it's a bit style over substance - but this map pack really lets it shine in an environment created precisely for its style of gameplay. In short, I had a lot of fun with this map pack. :)

Better Campaign that 90% of all AAA-Releases!

It's really cool that there the level aesthetic and design has improved so much compared to the original Dooms I and II. They remind me of Duke Nukem approaches, and I am a-okay with that.

This is one of my favorite maps in BRUTAL DOOM and among my favorite wads of all time. Hell on Earth Starter pack perfectly captures the invasion atmosphere and terror better than the original maps.

Well, that was a nice funny game. Despite graphics, i can say it looks very similar even with Doom Eternal. Items like healing salve, shells, and many deamons looks allmost the same. Thanks for game, well done video

I had fun with Brutal Doom'd up Doom 2, but I've clearly been missing out by ignoring the rest of the modding community. Anyone else know of some great "megawads" I could try? Definitely giving this one a shot! Edit: Played one level and already in love with it. It plays very differently to the Brutal Doom v21 I played Doom 2 with but is entertaining in different ways due to that.

Man it'd be great if there was a little more post-processing/ lighting, you could throw grenades, cool impact effects and a few more fun animations. Other than that it's a damn good job 👍

Looks cool, though do I do find there's room for improvement on the train as they have multiple projectile enemies where their projectiles are hindered by the surroundings, making them easier than they're supposed to be.

Damn it,i never had the chance to play this game when it was out. Now is practically impossible to find in any platform.I sure kick myself in the ass for not getting it when i had the chance.

When i need a break, i switch from Project Brutality to Brutal Doom.

What a great dynamic and interaction with the corpse or almost enemy. Get me feeling of Duke Nukem but more intense.

How old is Brutal actually? This is all the things you wished DOOM could be when the 95 version released. How much is a copy and how many levels are there? I love it because it uses the same models, sounds and engine that the original did. By the way, I'm playing those again right now. They never get old. No matter how fancy they make a game's visuals today, none that I've found still have the fun that these do. There aren't hardly any rules or difficult gameplay that requires a tutorial before playing. It's the same Doom I remember - only a groovy new paint job and overhaul for today's pimple faced punk born in 2000 or less! I grew up with Pong, arcades and the Atari 2600 so I've been here all along. This, I want in my collection! Like yesterday! So I have to check online (which we also never had!) and see what I can get a copy for. We didn't have any of this stuff. We had the library - with it's Dewey decimal system, landlines and encyclopedia Britannia. No computers. No cellphones, no online gaming - nothing! Try living in that world! This has come so far so fast, it's almost unbelievable!

Next time you guys get someone to play the game for a showcase type thing use somebody who isn't already familiar with the placement of enemies as it will be a lot more interesting to watch

This entire campaign was a slog-through for me personally. I would barely scrape by some levels (especially this one) due to the levels being bit too long, and the fact map maker doesn’t like putting many medkits in these missions. Still great, but could use touch ups.

I don't know anything about Brutal. Ive seen a couple RU-vid clips so far. What skill level is this on? Because it seems the weapons are now overpowered, so the monsters have less chance to hit you. At least give the monsters a quicker reflex & faster fire. And also lettheir fireballs be able to slip thru a window, because most of the time it just gets stuck in the opening.
