I agree with you .our power grid wouldn't handle the power drain .it barely makes enough electricity in the summer time with the power outages at high temperatures or severe heat waves cities lose power people are in the heat .

I'm shocked that the head of the Department of Energy knows so little. How could she not know where the mineral resources needed for electric vehicles come from! Then essentially outlawing the mining of that resource to protect the environment, let China destroy the environment instead. Chinese mining operations in the Congo produce 70% of the world's cobalt where child workers are brutally abused in dangerous working conditions. Self-righteous EV owners live in a bubble .
Too many jobs and not enough workers!? Good blue collar jobs were replaced by fast food jobs and other minimum wage jobs. A high employment rate for the working poor. Democratic Gavin Newsome and the Democratic legislature raised minimum wage for fast food workers only. Ironically, we have a health crisis largely due to poor nutrition and processed food and the Dems want to boost the workforce in the fast food industry. and the Secretary said there are not enough workers.
