*Samus running through a monster infested enemy base grabbing upgrades without permission and obliterating everything that moves and bypassing every security system in existence* Me: "Well it's not Metroid, but it's not inaccurate..." 😶
The only reason why they sent Doomguy instead of Samus is that the UAC knows she was going to blew up Phobos and Deimos for similarly no reason after stopping the invasion
Samus is sent to hell after demons invaded a planet of the galactic federation. She returned the next morning, soaked in blood, after blowing up the entirety of hell.
@@GlitchyGeek after she returned, Samus said that she deleted all the recorded data from her mission, claiming that the power contained in that knowledge could do harm to the galaxy and the entire universe if put in the wrong hands. When she used the save station at 0442 tte shortly after returning to federation controlled space, we managed to recover some latent raw scan visor data left in the suit's cache, namely energy readings. At one point she seemed to meet an huge concentration of demonic energy condensed into a single entity. In the first moments it seemed that the fight was very intense, perhaps one of the most dangerous of the entire mission, as Samus resorted to use many of her abilities at once. But after a while she stopped fighting, even if the huge energy signature was not expired, even when it got really close to her. The energy was so vibrant that from the raw scan data we could extrapolate a vaguely human shape, and ancient earthlike weaponry was also detected in the entity's hands. Then she just moved away, and completed her mission. Some experts believes she found an ally, some believe that the two just agreed to not oppose each other. But most just believe this to be a glitch, or some sort of illusion played by the enemies, because there was no way someone could fight and survive against demonic forces and Samus with such ineffective and ancient weaponry like a sawed off shotgun.
OK SO! I've been trying to get this weapon pack mod to work on other wads, but I kinda suck at that. Any tips on how I can achieve this for Okuplok? I will accept if it is just not possible, hard enough as is on GZDoom, and I have no idea if it's even possible with DSDA.
This is so friggin cool! how can others play this?! also need multiplayer support but i understand that must be a chore any links or description of how to play this game could be in the nonapparent description btw
I'd like to know how you did this without any bugs, because I need help making a compatibility mod for Metroid Dreadnought and Brutal Doom. I also made a post on Reddit, which I will post shortly.
There is bugs like how many sub weapons drops from these guys but besides that it works fine. I used the ketchup mod with this. Us this mod with it instead. Idk if it will have the same sub weapon drop issue but if so I'm sure it can be fixed in the settings somewhere. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xW07VJBTjME.html
I think this is metroid dreadnought, a doom mod, you can launch it with GDZDoom very easily. It is very similar to the Sonic one, maybe they use the same code, or one is a port of the other, but some weapons and items are different.
Man this mod is fine but i just think vanguard did it so much better. Granted while lua scripting is a bit less advanced than zscript over all, the fact that lua scripting has complete access to all inputs probably makes it a bit better overall, plus srb2 is a naturally vertical game compared to doom. There is also the work in progress demon hunter which looks promising with 3d models for weapons and more items like gravity suit but its still a work in progress and isnt compatible with zandro for some reason.
Hmm, well, the movement stuff was obviously better for the platforming sections in SRB2, but this mod's new version does combat so well, each weapon is not op but it has its specific use
@@nickblake8767 i downloaded the rebalanced one, from what i've seen, chroma storm is short range and needs a long wind up and stunlocks certain enemies, but dps isn't actually good enough when surrounded. Power beam has good range with good stun lock, good for small targets, but low damage. Spazer is one of the most useless, the rate of fire and damage is too low to justify the spread, but it could be used if you have bad aim and against multiple weak enemies at range. Plasma is very strong and pierces enemies, potentially clearing a room in just a few shots, but the range is short and the projectile is slow, meaning you have to aim good too. Wavebeam can hit around corners and is used for camping out dangerous situations (and lighting up dark rooms lol) Ice can stun single targets pretty well so you have time to reposition and escape, and the charged shot has a decent area of effect that can freeze many enemies that are close togheter, or hit around corners if you don't want to waste missles. Long beam has really good damage, almost as plasma, and unlimited range, but it cannot pierce targets, even with the missle combo, and has slow rate of fire, it's very versatile but you'd better use something else in closed spaces or against large quantities of enemies. The shotgun beam has amazing burst damage and can be charged quickly, but only works well when really close. Missles have decent damage at any range and are mostly useful to clear large quantities of weaker enemies very quickly, supers also have very good damage for bigger targets, and missle combos each have their specific use case. Power bombs are incredibly powerful but they take a while to explode, so you are going to take a lot of damage if you are not safe Overall, for a mod not many people will use, it's done pretty well.
That pause when picking up new stuff is just awful. It is accurate to Metroid but maybe too accurate. The fanfare does somewhat need the pause, though.
You hear the serene Item Acquired theme, then straight to non-stop carnage and gore. Each new item becomes fuel to unleash the rage within. This is Metroid and Samus is not fking around...not anymore...
I had a fever dream that was like that. It was basically a new Metroid prime game where Samus wakes up in space pirate captivity and just goes on a rampage trying to escape one of their colony planets and rescue the people they were invading.
@@EuclidiussI wanna believe that there's someone out there ready and willing to make this a reality. If we got the likes of Mega Man 8bit Deathmatch, the sky well and truly is the limit.
@@azure-cladassassin5425 the closest thing we have is a mod for classic doom but nobody has made a Metroid campaign with it. (I want to. But I'd rather use Quake. Sadly I can't program so making a Quake Metroid mod is beyond my skill set as a mapper.)
@@RealMoosterchef Straight up, we have no reason to believe either of them even like the opposite gender, I am obviously not saying either of them are gay, but like, idk that they give two fucks about relationships, they just shoot the things they're meant to shoot
It feels worthwhile to remember, in terms of Big Tough Space Warriors in Powered Armor in videogames, Samus Aran was the very first. Doom Guy came *after* her. All of which is to say this video is really, *really* appropriate (and friggin' amazing). Especially in a world where Dread exists, I think we can all agree they'd be good friends.
This really puts into perspective just how terrifying Samus actually is. The space pirates must be shitting their pants whenever they hear she's coming.
Loved the series for ten years or so and only just now realized that this is canon Samus experience. There's no reason enemies would change color to white when hit and disappear. She slaughters armies of monsters
"Try me." Badass Samus. 😩😎 Samus should talk more in-game now that everyone knows she's female in this internet age. I know people will argue "immersion" but I think it would "immerse" you even more if you're playing as a female protagonist that you hear from time to time and help reminds players of their true role/mission as Samus. The Smash Bros. VA is *chef's kiss* 😘👌🏻
this isn't brutal metroid, its lore accurate samus during her days serving the federation, nintendo just blocks all the brutality but she probably wouldn't even be phased
I can see her getting bored after a long time and start punching monsters apart like omniman. We've seen her fuck around with her enemies when she is not serious.
Out of 17 planets Samus visited, 5 exploded as direct result of her actions. Thats a 0,294 ratio of explosions per planet. That means that there is approximately a 30% chance of a planet exploding if Samus steps foot on it. Samus is badass
Love how it uses the prime assets. Prime 1 was peak samus design. It took everything the snes game did right, and made it better. Those massive pauldrons and massive cannon were so sick.
For Samus is called: Metroid Vanguard. It’s an srb2 mod so you have to find a doom map mod in either on the official srb2 page or on the srb2 workshop (I recommend using the srb2 workshop)
Before there was Doomguy, there was Samus! (I should mention that neither one is neccessarily better than the other, I'm saying they're both awesome for very similar reasons)
This is metroid dreadnought i think, a doom mood, just use GZDoom to launch it. It works on any level i think it replaces weapons and ammo pickups with upgrades
