No one can disagree that Last Life was a Goat Tier

I love how Jimmy just keeps the Ranchers fans on life support with every "My Rancher" when talking about Double Life.

12:25 I think an 'EVO 2' series would do well, if you guys were interested in doing that. It would be cool to see older versions of Minecraft in more polished modern RU-vid videos. And you can ask Martyn, the Watchers lore is still EXTREMELY popular in fan spaces.

I've noticed that a lot of the Life Series members (3rd Life) say Last Life is their favorite of the bunch, and from the perspective of a content creator and getting to play this amazing SMP with all your friends, I get why Last Life is a lot of people's fave, but gosh, Double Life was the first one I got to watch as it was being filmed/posted and I will never get over the love I have for that season. I love Double Life so much. It's 100% always gonna be my fave Life Series season (though, honestly, all 4 seasons are GOAT for me tbh)

I personally like the nether woods,when the colour scheme is right.

Birch is actually a really good wood if you know how to incorporate it into builds correctly

Low key, I prefer Season 1 over Season 2 because of the storyline. I'm a sucker for a deep story with lore. But I still hold both dear to me

I was starting to think that Jimmy didn’t remember that much of evo or that it wouldn’t be regarded as one of his top series because he gets confused every time the watcher lore is brought up in his reaction videos, but Jimmy’s experience with evo is proof that lore does not have to define a series. It’s about having fun with friends the lore just makes it more enjoyable for the viewers. And Jimmy just convinced me to go back and watch evo (nope can’t say that word about evo how do I avoid that word) from his perspective even though it’s very long and might take a while

Unpopular opinion: acacia and birch are good woods

I LOVE snowy biomes, although that might just be nostalgia as I lived in one on my very first SMP. Birch wood is mediocre, but the forests are beautiful! (At least in my opinion.) Acacia is a good wood, I refuse to hear otherwise. Cherry deserves an S tier. Honestly nether update deserves S tier. In my opinion Village & Pillage would be an S tier if villager trading halls weren't so broken! 3rd Life deserves top tier. It was eye-opening.

I liked 3rd life's story the most out of the seasons. But last life definitely had the best mechanics

The life series rankings are always hard. 3rd Life is near and dear to my heart as it’s the first series that got me into watching a lot of MC youtubers (at the time I had only watched a handful of Grian videos and was consistently watching Joe Hills and Zombie Cleo (mostly livestreams). Last Life was the season in which I got heavily involved with the fan community and had my favorite factions Double Life was amazing, but lacked the storyline that I liked out of 3rd and Last Life. (But on rewatch, it’s my favorite. It’s the one that has stuck with me. Probably because Jimmy and Joel keep referencing the series even though we’re a year removed.) Limited Life was good, but it felt rushed and confusing. Though team Clockers dynamic was amazing, chaotic, and out of left field. At the end of the day, all 4 seasons have been great in their own regards. And each of them is special to me in their own unique way.

More life content?? Grian, Bdubs, AND Jimmy in one week, it’s definitely coming back.

for me the auquatic update just brings me so much nostalgia because that’s around the time when i was old enough to really understand minecraft and the updates. before then i just played the game and every once in awhile there was a new update but around that time is when i started really tracking everything and stuff so it’s got a special place in my heart just for that. i’m a junior in hs now.

I agreed with a fair amount of this but man it hurt when 3rd life got bumped down, it's my favourite season for sure. Last life was good but not my favourite, maybe I need to rewatch it and see. ❤

Love seeing the Evo love. Personally Evo was how I got into Minecraft RU-vid starting with Grian, and still remember Jimmy Martyn Pearl etc from it. Deserves its spot at the top.

I remember the evolution series so clearly! It was such a brilliant idea! I was following grian at the time, and it was that series that made me come here. You were such a good laugh in the evo series that I knew I needed to keep tabs on you and your channel. The evo series would do amazing in the current RU-vid environment! Heaven knows I still think about that time Grian blew you up with that TNT house.

Minecraft Evolution was how I "met" Jimmy, through Grian's videos. That will forever be my favorite Minecraft SMP. So many wonderful people and such a creative concept.

Evo was definitely GOAT. Its how I was introduced to Pearl. Watching Nettyplays was awesome. The concept was just so unique and interesting and I would absolutely LOVE if it had a sequel.

Fully agree that snow and ice biomes are the worst. Also agree about Evo being top tier. Loved the concept of the series and the Property Police so much. Would put Harmony Hollow higher personally just for Netty content.

Jimmy's New Life is good, but he's basically carrying the series at this point. I think when he gets to his 6th life and Martyn makes the 6th toy box, that will be the conclusion of the series. Double Life was my favorite because it paired people up in more unusual ways. It's much more interesting to see Jimmy & Tango rather than Tango & Impulse or Jimmy & Grian.

so much of these tierlists are so different from how i would rank them, but it explains so much about tim, it all makes sense now

My family used to move every three years or so, so I hope that your moving goes smoothly for you. But it might be weird to not see the background that you have now once you’re done moving. But great video, I agree with most of what you said.

I remember with 1.15, I had just came back from Disney world and I went onto my computer to play Minecraft, I turn it on and I was so annoyed how we just got BEES like they’re cute and all but like they could’ve added stuff to it Also, Minecraft Evo was probably my favorite SMP Jim has been in, I loved all of the chaos, like when Netty kidnapped Elmo and the property police

It's really cool to see that Jimmy was the common denominator between the group that I used to watch alot (Shubble, Graser, HBomb, Kiingtong, and other Harmony Hollow/Cube SMP members) and the group that I watch alot now (Grian, Mumbo, Tango, Impulse, and other Hermitcraft/Last Life members). I genuinely didn't realize Jimmy was in Harmony Hollow tbh.

Personally I would keep the goat tear the same. Last life was amazing and I found Evo through Martin’s life series lore watched all jimmy’s episodes and it was amazing. I miss Morty gage and Pete Bills so much man. I think I would put specifically the COD father’s POV of empires season, one in goat as well. I discovered Jimmy through x life and 3rd life, but I didn’t really start watching his stuff till empires came out and it really was just so amazing. I liked season two as well but for different reasons and I think I would put season one higher just because I really liked the story aspect and I’m a sucker for fish people they’re just cool what can I say. I don’t know if it’s goat tear, but limited life is also up there cause I mean you got a love the bad boys. Please continue to keep making contact like this and channel is just so much fun to watch. I do a drawing a while back of all the different versions of Jimmy through the different series and hey maybe I need to update it it’s been a while.

I LOVE all the life series! Third life was easily my favourite, the red king was just the coolest concept and ill never get over it. Last life is a close second, but there are things i love about all of them and its so hard to choose! Im so glad this series was a success and they keep making them because they are just amazing! So excited to see the rest of secret life

Last life will always be my favourite it was the thing that got me introduced to Lizzy and when it was done I watched other creators perspectives which brought me to hermit craft Empires and all the other series. It will always have a special place in my heart ❤

In terms of the SMPs as a whole new life tops my list because of create mod, but in terms of your content season 2 of empires is peak. Agree that last life was the best life series, and it's no coincidence that Mumbo was in it, the southlands crew was so good.

I think that EVERYBODY can agree that Empires Season 1 was the most Fantastic and Beautifully crafted SMP. Ik that Five years from now We’ll be looking back on Empires and being hit by so much Nostalgia.

I used to hate birch and acacia but I worked on being a better builder and now I don’t really dislike any of the woods. The one I use the least is dark oak. It’s just too dark haha

Last Life was strange, Its one of my favorite RU-vid series of all time and Yet I cant figure out why... Something about the format? The Map? The Strats the players were going for? I cant figure it out. But man the Life Series is just sososososoooooooooooooo incredible, I really hope a new one happens

World of Color update was 1.12, which was the first texture rework (the second, and better one, being in 1.14 Village and Pillage) and it's also the update that added concrete to the game.

I really didn't get into the three latest Life series, but I'll give them all another look. TBH, I'm looking forward to the next Life series Grian's planning.

Double life was my favorite. It was fun to see the unique pairings, and watch duos who rarely interact, spend the whole series together. Limited life was also a great series. We seen many different dynamics and not a single episode was boring.

NOOO! i love warped wood so much istg its great to use with copper and in steampunk (see sausages new life build) and omg in darker builds with sculk and blackstone?? incredible, chefs kiss (see tangos hermitcraft base) and overall its an incredible block for texturing and an accent colour in builds like pearls new life build AND DONT GET BE STARTED ON MUMBOS HERMITCRAFT BASE BC I WILL NOT STOP

I love mangrove, it’s my favourite tree in real life, and it does bring a lot, like a lot a lot, of great blocks to the game, the colour is just not what I hoped, mojang should really add driftwood, black and white woods into the game tho, I think that would be brilliant Edit: does anyone else agree with me that xlife was sort of a prequel to afterlife and newlife, I mean they were all modded, all had a set number of lives (that wasn‘t 1) and they were all with some of the same people. Even if that wasn‘t planned, i still think that xlife was kinda part of the reborn series (what I call afterlife and newlife so that it doesn’t get confused with the other life series) and they all came out in an order in and around empires s1 and s2 even if xlife wasn‘t derectly connected to the aforementioned smps in any way (Oh, and the names are quite similar too)

6:24 man misidentified half of these. These are all pre-1.17; those snow biomes have no powdered snow. Those mountains are a shattered savanna, and the island is a beach biome. That meadow biome is a flower forest. Just thought I’d offer some help

The Bee Update is more like a fixing bug update than a Bee Update I think they just added them because they are called bugs and they are fixing bugs.

Third Life was my favorite purely for how it panned out. The fist fight between Grian and Scar was peak. Last Life was great for the memes and the humor. Southlands was by far my favorite crew in any of the Life series.

S tier- Dark oak, Cherry, crimson and warped. A tier- Spruce, oak B tier- Birch, bamboo C- Jungle D- Mangrove F- Acacia. These are my own opinions, though I'd like to see others.

LAST LIFE IS THE GOAT also the only reason i liked empires smp s1 more is bc of the xornoth stuff. I reckon with an antagonist in empires s2, it would have been better. I think most people in the start expected for a villan, but overalll a great series!
