Love the separated trench system, added some interesting factors to the battle. I think this area would be a great "first defense" for a more layered trench defense video.
Happy belated Diplex, I've been watching your content since about the same age that you started. You've always been one of my favorite casual RU-vidrs, someone who does this because they want to more than anything else. Hope the rest of 2022 goes well for you :)
Imagine sitting in a trench, looking out over all the landscape before you and saying, "Yeah, we got this." And then you see hundreds of soldiers running towards you, and your rifle shoots only 30 rounds in a magazine, and your accuracy isn't anything to write home about. And then you see them roll a tank up to your face. Nicely done on making me feel that here.
The Tannenberg Line also had concrete standing "round" bunkers with panzer I..Dual Machine gun turrets and Panzer II 20 MM/with MG turrets and a handful of Panzer IV turrets with the short 75 gun as used in the invasion of France in 1940...The Bunker was like a standing Paper Towel Roll ... if you get my meaning and some Nashorns used in threes. Early versions of captured T-34's were used as non moving anti-tank emplacements with Wooden bunkers built around them for added protection
Happy bday mate. Old age hangovers are def a problem. My trick is drink a few mouth fulls of either Gurkin or pickled onion juice before bed. Then when you wake up (inevitability) thirsty. Have a berocca and soda water handy. I’m a shocking next day hangover person and this has helped me a lot. Key is when you go to bed!!! Do this. will not work if don’t sleep at least an hour after.
I really love these videos. Been watching for a long time now. Always so interesting to see how the battles turn out, whatever the era or type of armies. I’ve even got myself an interest into factions I wouldn’t have before without watching these videos 👍🏼 Awesome video as always man, can’t wait to continue watching your battles 😁
HOLY HELL! I haven't seen any of your videos in a while! It's good to see you're still going and happy late birthday! As a Call to Arms lover myself, I quite enjoy it when you post Call to Arms content! Cheers mate!
Wait? Did you say "Tannenberg Line"? That's exactly what I asked for in the last Gates of Hell video. MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED!!! Also, happy belated birthday good sir.
It’s hard to process and keep up with all the little green ants blending into the dang background. At least it’s difficult for me to keep up lol I’m pretty slow myself so no biggie 😂
This is aesthetically pleasing but the AI still does not behave as it should. The Russian infantry was not using the trenches to its advantage. They need to work on this, still.
Not that it mattered here but it’ll be interesting if there was an animation of a group attacking a tank a la “private Ryan” shooting and throwing a grenade into the portholes
