I haven’t ‘knock on wood , I don’t have an exhaust just an intake everything else is stock so the swoosh noise is enough for me it is a GTI after all maybe when I upgrade to an S3 that should be my first mod a turbo back exhaust followed by an intake and a stage 1 map
For anyone interested in the mods: H&R 30mm springs Revo air intake Audi R8 coil packs Upraged ngk bkr7eix spark plugs S3 intercooler Auto tech HPFP internals GFB DV+ Miltek 3inch decat downpipe Power flex lower dogbone mount Custom made 3inch cat back exhaust R32 style with 4inch slash cut tips R32 rear bumper R32/ED30 genuine xenons Tinted windows Rear wiper delete R-TECH stage 2+ map with 292hp 361lbft And no it’s not straight piped it has 1 centre box 👀🙈
Owned a mk5 gti for almost a year now and going stage 2 with catless dp and intake, already have milltek exhaust, and I can’t wait... still haven’t been pulled over though! (Yet,lol)
I can tell from my shower thats got a muffler. And that car is a very basic, poor example of a stage 2 gti. Just like your video is a very basic, poor example of how to review a car (in other words, glaze a flywheel.)
Am about to buy one of these as my first car in a couple of weeks, I have worked very hard past couple of years for this dream to come true and can’t wait
Marcus Wilson how you finding it bro, my big bro has one.. ttRS big brakes, forged , r tech stage2+, manual, etc all the mk5 goodies, he’s selling it soon and I wanna buy it because I can get it off him for £3,000 what’s it like day to day bro?
Never been pulled over in my mk5 gti. Mine is running stage 1 (250hp) and I'm looking at building it to 360-380 with these mods, a K04 turbo and methanol - it's going to be a beast! 😁
My Mk5 Golf GTI is bright red with a decat and the front number plate off. So YES Police are constantly pulling me over. We are close to being on first name bases lol.
@@biosiden4254 not lifting his foot off the accelerator during up shifts. Makes the engine revs higher than the wheel speed, causing the clutch to have to make up the difference when it’s engaged. This causes unnecessary clutch ware. Aka - “power shifting”. Don’t do it, ain’t worth it lol
That's a quick GTI guys I currently have 07 MK5 GTI DSG with decat downpipe and Apr stage 1 is APR Stage 2 really that big of a increase is it worth it.
Stage 1 to 2 isn't as big of jump like Stock to Stage 1 in regards to APR. I suggest getting the HPFP as well and going 2+ honestly. Still worth it though.
1st night I went out in mine got pulled by armed police twice and the 1st time they said they had loads of units coming expecting a chase cause it was showing now insurance lmao 🤣
Jip i know it was mentioned but yes not straight piped would've heard turbo on idle.. My 9n3 polo gti was straight piped and yah put a box on it quick 🤣
Best thing about Florida be as obnoxious as you want and no one really cares. I've got a mk5 gti apr stage 1 with intake and exhaust and it's a loud one man but I've never had any cops get mad about it
@@liamcareyBMX Oh ok. I just wanted something to compare with. I pull 30 psi on fully built apr stage 3+ mk5. Trying to compare with different videos, also what type of recirculation valve are you running and do you experience any problems with the waste gate? My mk5 goes in limp mode sometimes and I have to constantly disconnect battery to reset so it will boost normally again otherwise it won't pass over 10 psi!. It is pretty annoying. Thank you. Great sleeper you got there.
Kio I’ve only changed the stock dv to the GFB DV+ no boost issues what so ever with that but my tuner who is the best in the game with the 2.0tfsi platform says the REV G oem dv is just as good or if not better than any upgrade.
