Illuvium has had the PVP mode open for all to play for just over a week and these are my raw thoughts on where it is now and how they can improve from now. let me know below what you think
Illuvium is a emerging game on the blockchain that is going to be releasing three major AAA games that are all interoperable with each other by using blockchain technology. The three games are an overworld monster catcher, an autobattler and a city builder. All is underpinned with the ILV token and run by a DAO, staking, land and private beta 2 are all now available.

Re: Team Builder In-Game Yes absolutely, it is HUGE to have it in the client and yes it is coming. It is non-trivial to implement and it would have added a a reasonably significant delay to the delivery of Ascendant Mode.

Great take! Agreed with in game team builder. I think the downloads cant really be compared to a mobile game that could of almost been majority bots. Thats over 20k on PC, in a beta, no bots, no web3 incentives ect. I know a lot of gamers that are super interested and like it but just dont play games in beta but will jump in for sure on full release.

yes agree with that beta call for sure. most people dont have the time to play games taht will just wipe at release. Yeah i still think downloads could be more but we will see im sure the beta is putting people off too as you said. but overall im liking it more than i thought i would like pvp its not usually my thing

100% agree, dont mentioned NFT and advertise to gamers/ TFT players. Illuvials in the Overworld are coming and this will completly change the game, I can see records being broken.

Good take! I remember that they mentioned there are around 1million players waiting to get betta access for the game, and now that it's available, the download is way to low compared to those who registered and waiting to get betta key. 25k download is less than 5% of 1M+ registered players. We need more players so that arena matching queue will be 1s waiting time :')

Yea that's true it seems like a small conversion rate doesn't it. Obviously it's beta and mainly just pvp so the people that want overworld still qont be in the game. 1s queue time would be amazing! It will happen!

Good points, agreed they definetly need to focus on the actual gaming aspect of it all thats what will make or break the game nfts just make it more interesting.

great video and agree with all your points. Personally I haven't told me friends to try it yet. waiting for tutorials and everything to come out before I tell them. Don't want them to get frustrated and just get rekt. The learning curve is steep and they need tools to teach them. Also think new players should start around 1200 elo. 1500 is just high and their first match will be against an experienced player. Which most likely going to be a terrible lose, which isn't a good feeling.

Yeah I have only told friends that have played autobattlers before. Most games you start at the bottom and have to grind up the elo so that could be the change

Learn and come back is the problem. I got rekt but learned nothing. There’s no tools or resources there to understand why you lost…or won for that matter. For me - I’d much rather spend my time in Overworld. It’s easy to pick up and looks amazing.

Yeah I do see that happening. That retention hump that I talked about is going to be the hardest thing to get past!
