My first build was awful. I just built a massive square and filled it with random objects. And the roof was ridiculously tall too. I am glad to say I have improved lots lol
Mine didn’t even have a roof ☠️ or exterior paint. I also would just buy the premade rooms from the catalog because I couldn’t bother to decorate myself 😂 it was horrific.
If I may suggest, not only redoing the dream house but also redoing the weird builds and trying to make them make sense with a story involving shanice and chantelle (petition to return feisty flange back into the shanice universe). I think these videos would be so much fun.
You always add a disclaimer that you're not a good builder, when in actuality every build of yours is highly amazing and impressive! They always seem very homey and cozy
Satch, genuinely thank you for being so vulnerable. I, (as I'm sure many others as well), tend to use The Sims as my escape/safe space when I just cannot deal so that's really relatable probably for a lot of us simmers. However, that's also personally why I'm so scared for the direction that this franchise is headed, it feels like they're taking my escape away. 💔
Your previous builds were imaginative and awesome! And keeping ourselves busy is the best coping mechanism that I can think of for just about anything that life throws at us.
Honey u didn't just have a glow up .. u transformed , those videos of you w the red hair is was not long ago!! Your sense of humor has always been fire , that hasn't changed at all besides before when u would make a joke , you would almost do it more shadier then you do now and u wouldn't laugh at ur self. But u do now.. I think u transformed on the inside, out. Not only have u came into ur self physically but also know how funny and unique u r. I freaking love you, even with your red hair I knew this MAN was underneath the whole time. Your amazing satch. Always make me laugh out loud..ane that's pretty hard 😂🎉❤
In my country we also refer to the first floor as the ground floor and the second floor as the first floor. It really confuses tourists, lol. I just wanted to tell you Satch, that you are truly an inspiration to me. I've been wanting to record my own playthroughs for so long but I am pretty nervous about it. Listening to you talk about your own beginning makes me feel like I can do it as well, and enjoy it. Thanks so much!
I am really happy that you did this video. It is so hard to critique our old selves and you were harsh, when needed, fair, as always, and proud, when you absolutely had the right to be. Thanks buddy!!! 🎉
You used to do build videos based on your subscriber number which would be how much money you gave yourself, its been AGES since you have done that. I would love for you to do a new one and compare them
I used to just make a big room in the sims 2 and put a toilet a fridge a shower and a fridge in there lol and just put in one item for whatever skill I wanted to work on
I just hate how anytime they make packs they always neglect mid-high walls.....like its weird sometimes to have a low wall door on a high wall but non of the mid walls look good🥴
Hey Satch, have you heard about the SAG-AFTRA videogame strike vote? basically the US acting union have agreed to refuse to work with a bunch of video game companies, including EA, if they refuse to agree to better payment for voice actors.
Your old bad builds are literally what I build now 😂😂 down to the clipping roofs and repeated decor 😂 I only have 3 kits and base game though, so there's only so much you can do!!
I didn't realize you deal with anxiety and OCD. The Sims is a major coping mechanism for me too. I have severe Complex-PTSD and depression. There should be a therapy based on cozy building games.
Ugh, I remembered the two first build I made. The first one was for a single sim living in a box in Willow Creek and it has a "unique" loft style that I questioned my sanity. At least the downstairs was better. The second one was supposedly Amell estate from Dragon Age 2 but I didn't follow the actual build on both inside and outside 🤦♀ Glad I fixed Amell estate into more of its original design.
Sorry to hear you went trough that while you were in Japan! I have OCD and I thought it was “mild one” until it got worse last December. Turns out It gets from “okay-ish) to terrifying very fast. (But I was lucky to have doctor who prescribed me right meds.) But that’s not the point. I wanted to say that a lot of my neurotypical friends find solace in their hobbies. My autistic friend loves to draw and to play Sims to relieve some stress . They actually motivated me to play Sims 4)) Even though this game have a lot of problems I think players and their creativity make up for a lot of it. It’s just fun to see people my age having all sorts of fun with this game. ❤ Also you builds are soooo nice! Wow!
12:35 don’t worry about even windows. If you ever get a chance to drive around any town America, you’ll see houses with windows that make no damn sense from the outside. 😁
15:49 no, those people are just wrong. Ground is not first. First is the first story above ground. American ground is British ground floor. Elevators reference the Lobby (ground) and Garage (B1 etc). 1 is still a stairway away from the front door.
watching this reminded me i wasnt following your ea account on the gallery, that mistake has been corrected. i like to have something from my fave simmers in my personal save file, a sim they created or a build... yay.
My very first build was an 8 floors abomination. It was essentially one floor-one room. Back then, the only cheat that I knew of was motherlode, and I abused it.
My old gallery uploads are horrible, too! It's fun to look back, though, and see how much we've improved. :) I don't think these were that bad, honestly. I mean, BAD is anything EA built and released with the games, so you're good!
I roasted myself on my first build. And then i proceeded to cuss everyone else out for gassing me up. Everyones response: "we all have to start somewhere..." 😂😭 I am thankful bc i got a whole lot better!
