I've been trying to figure out the cause of my clenching which started a few months ago since it's causing TMJ issues and mount guard is too invasive and uncomfortable, and actually makes the clenching worse. Went for a sleep study and got diagnosed with sleep apnea. Pretty devastated at the idea of needing a cpap for rest of my life... but I really hope this will stop the clenching. I hope at some point there will be a surgery to fix the sleep apnea without requiring a machine though.
There is a surgery to stop the sleep apnea. But, my brother had it and it didn't work. That was years ago, so maybe they have perfected it. When I first started with the cpap, I lost weight and I was able to stop using it. But I gained my weight back later and now I use it all the time.
My guard is also making my grinding and clenching worse as well. Of course, they don't tell you that 🙄. I go for my sleep study in one week. They better find something because these studies are expensive. Mine is running me close to $3,000.
GUYS I FINALLY FOUND THE SOLUTION TO WHY I WAS CLENCHING MY TEETH WHILE SLEEPING! It was revealed to me that the style of pillow I was sleeping on had a curve on the edge, so when that curve was putting a little pressure on my Jaws I was clenching my teeth while sleeping it was so bad! So what I did was to sleep on a flat pillow instead and now no more teeth clenching while sleeping! Glory to Jesus for revealing this to me while I was praying 🙏 Hope this helps someone
@@katydid1600 try a memory foam pillow medium size flat top (make sure no curves etc). Also take vitamin B powder (not tablets) in daytime. Also ask Jesus to take it away from you because God is the true doctor who knows your every part of your body. God bless
