Feeling alone as an artist can be both a curse and blessing. Curse because most won’t notice you, blessing because your vision is unique and stands out.

Honestly, you got a point a very valuable point. I really want but want to get into acting because honestly I really just want to have the ability yo become someone else, but I'm really kind of impatient and I really hate being interrupted while trying to perform, as well as to control my real life emotions while performing.

How come there's so much spiritual talk like this these days? I love it, but it's confusing since nobody was talking about it before I started becoming more aware of these things like a year or two ago, and now it's literally everywhere. Am I creating this or did it exist before as well but my eyes were drawn past it since I knew nothing about it??

Damn, real good points. I think David Goggins said something like, if you don't do the work then there is no confidence. So we definitely can't delude ourselves into thinking we're great value if we aren't keeping fit, improving our skills, etc (not saying that's you). So I guess we have to keep refining ourselves, our approach, and make sure we really are offering good value whilst practicing the quiet confidence and detaching from the outcome.

@@Z3AL316 I agree with you but also there's playing stupid and playing smart. Quit your job to pursue something you're not sure is for you is stupid. Quiting a job to pursue something that you know you will enjoy LONG TERM and are willing to put your heart and soul in is smart. ALWAYS have a plan B and never burn your bridges. You never know what the future holds and it's better to be safe than sorry. By all means though, if acting is what you want to do and pursue and you know you can do it regardless of what what people say about it than go for it!

It is incredible advice for interviewing, pitching and idea, etc. If you stress too much about the outcome you can trip yourself up.. be your own enemy. But if you go in knowing that you have skill, that you believe in yourself and you're just there to present what you worked on and it is up to them what they want to do with it, then you can have the calm focus to do your best. I can totally see that. And I love that secondary.. the ability to genuinely share in a colleague's success. Because they didn't take anything away from you. You did your part and that is cool. He didn't mention it but it would also help to deal with the situation where you presented an awesome option, that you worked hard on and are proud of.. but the other parties decided it wasn't appropriate for their needs and they want to go with something/someone else. Then that's all on them. You did your job and you can walk away happy and clear to work on the next project. They have to deal with the consequences of their decision. Just so cool.. of course for all of that to work you have to believe in yourself. He said that but didn't stress it enough.. "If I ask any of you 'are you talented?' you had better say 'yes.' or you shouldn't be in this line of work." I guess in short, do the work, prepare properly for what you need to do. Once you've taken care of what is in your control be happy with that . Don't tie your personal success to an outcome.. tie your personal success to what you do or don't do.
