Bryan Saint FOOLS Penn and Teller again! But this time, he does it with a rubiks cube! #magic #magician #magictrick #pennandteller #pennandtellerfoolus #foolus
It's pretty simple, they sell it down at the shop, that's a 4D time displacer table, nothing fancy, each time he places the cube on the table it's sent to his future self who must solve it and place it on the table where his past self reveals it.
One handed cube solving is a thing, and it's definitely possible to always set yourself up for a simple solve. I'm pretty sure that's part of what's going on. Collapsible cubes would make hiding and bringing out multiple cubes easy. You need slight of hand to keep swapping in the one real cube. Unless he's using sleight of hand to sneak in and out real cubes - but I doubt that's it. I think it's just one handed cube solving, sleight of hand to make it seem like he's putting down one cube and picking up another, and using collapsible paper cubes when needing to show multiple or that all green cube.
Yeah he does the exact same pattern on the cube every time and solve it one handed. Notice how he takes a minute behind the green screen before he puts the cube down. Also watch the moves he makes when “scrambling the cube” it’s the same every time.
I like Rubik's Qubes. I don't usually like Rubik's Qubes magic. All tricks i saw revert to the same basic patterns and effects. Not this one! This is marvellous, thrilling, both plot and execution and sleight and delivery! Wow! I watched a second time and was astonished by even more subtles in the story telling that i didn't notice first time!
Is the 'crush the rubix cube' question a subtle hint that she can see what's going on? Or a somewhat aware/self concious red heron being thrown out there to suggest you may not know even if you think you may know?
I'm sure you could build a cube that has electronics in it that allows it to solve itself quickly (look it up, they exist), but I'm not sure you even need that since you saw that he had at least three solved cubes on the table, maybe you'd need it just for the last cube. So it really just comes down to getting rid of the extra cubes he had, which could have just been some sort of mechanism in his pants or something when he went behind the table. You can hear what sounds like he is putting the cubes back on the table, but that is too obvious (you would have to put a special mic there just for that purpose, otherwise you wouldn't be able to hear anything), and is easily faked with some other electronic sound device. Notice when he put the all-green cube on the table, it made no sound. That's because the table isn't miked, all the sounds you hear of him putting cubes on the table are faked.
There's a switch and it's to swap out the all green cube. I know it's there and it's for the second cube seen behind the screen. But I can't figure out where the switch is made, because he still has to drop the second cube. Everything else is explained by a very good one handed cuber.
@@ShodHorse Perhaps you are forgetting that he showed three cubes, at 4:35. My theory is he had one real cube that he was very good at one handed solving, and had other fake cubes, that he could hide with slight of hand. Regardless of method, it was smooth and impressive.
he used 4 different cubes that fit into one another.... stacking the other cubes on top and finally just have one left with 3 inside. Its not a new trick and used before with babushka dolls.
You had the right idea, but not quite. He has 1 real Rubik's Cube that he knows how to manipulate so it's easy for him to solve with one hand behind the folder or his coat. He also has 3 shells of Rubik's cubes with only 5 sides. 2 colored ones and 1 green. On the colored ones the yellow side is missing so he holds the shell with the white side in front. Those are collapsible at the end of his act which is how he makes them appear to disappear. When he collapses them they turn black so we can't see them on the black table.
@@herpowsito8267it’s actually a little bit of both. Before he picks up the folder, it’s the glare of the lights, but if you watch him put the cube down slowly, he’s rotating the cube an extra turn and putting the orange side down on the table and the next side that rotates around is the white side facing forward
Good logic speed solving the cube with sleight of hand swap in the jacket. The trophy was more respect/sympathy. They knew how he did it, but it was really well done.
You can hear a faint clicking when he’s got it behind his jacket, so I think he had that cube set up for a one or two move solve and he one-handed it. As for the others, I’m not sure where all the extra cubes are going.
@@rogierius the white is on top while he's holding it in the air. he sets it on the table orange side down, meaning white is now on the front. It's just a quick pivot (prob unintentional) as it goes behind the folder. But yes, it does look very much like it changed instantly as if it's a trick.
