How has this tent done for you in the rain? Particularly getting in and out of it while its raining?

I was set on a Kelly Late Start 2 until Dan Becker recommended this. While they’re the same price, I’m leaning towards the Bryce now as it includes a footprint, packs smaller, has a front door (instead of side), and more ventilation with the fly. I’m excited for Black Friday!

Could you guys tack on 2 more minutes to the video and show us how to make fit back into the original bag. Awesome tent

Thanks for the feedback! We did recently change the size of the stuff sack to make it larger and therefore easier to pack. If you have one of the older ones, we recommend roughly folding the tent body and fly, putting the poles across the middle, and tightly rolling the body and fly around the poles. That should get you a nice compact package that you can fit into the stuff sack. Thanks again!

If this video is not featured prominently with the product on the Paria website, please consider doing so. It’s very helpful. One of your customer service reps Jennifer said by e-mail it’s straightforward to set up, but Paria has no instructions to share with customers. For new backpackers it’s not straightforward. But this video is very helpful.

I just got mine in the mail today! Set it up in the backyard and have been really impressed so far in the rain. Purchased mine with the 4 season inner as well as the 10x12 tarp. Looking forward to many winter camping trips in the White Mountains

received the tent and set it up earlier. very easy. I'm glad you had the video because I didn't realize the aluminum poles bent like that so I was a little confused at first, but it went up really fast. It started raining while I was setting it up so I left it there for a few hours until it stopped. no leaks. love the little vestibule, decent space for a backpacking tent. I plan to use it kayaking and it takes up about halt the space the one I currently use does. plenty of room to sit up in it. very easy to break it down and it went surprisingly easy back into the bag. I was a little worried about that. very happy with it and you can't beat the price.

I’ve had this tent for quite some time and do really like but I’d love a different color rain fly, something more earthy tones would be great.

Would love to see you add a third middle cross poll to create a very light 3+ - 4 lite season tent (mostly for additional wind handling) great job !
@pariaoutdoorproducts
@pariaoutdoorproducts 7 лет назад
Thanks for the feedback! That's a great suggestion, so we'll take a look to see how to accommodate it. It would add a bit of weight to add the additional cross member, but would also provide added headroom by opening up the middle area a bit. Thanks again!

Paria Outdoor Products yes a little extra weight ... but still much lighter than other tents in that category .... I'm in ! Tired of my 5-8 pound heavy weather tents .... I will keep my eye out for any development ... thanks for communicating your thoughts !

Can you fit a fully packed out 65L bag in there or is it too small for that?

Great tent! Was so easy setting up the first time after watching the video, thank you for that. Had the same problem of getting it back into it's original bag so I'll probably just pick up a cheap nylon bag to store it in.

Ok. So, for people who are completely nee to this (me) it would have been nice to have more explanation and to see how you guy stuff out. Like, did you not tie the stakes to anything at all?? You just stuck them in the ground? What the best way to tie them on? I have all this string and no idea what to do with it ...

What is the weight of the tent for backpacking?
@DumpTrump4TRE45ON
@DumpTrump4TRE45ON 2 года назад
I got one, very light weight and better suited for 1 person. I like that they include everything you need. I really like the stakes. I also bought more stakes from Pariah. On the first trip the outer zipper broke. I am not returning it because they shipped this all the way to Alaska. It was so easy and intuitive to set up. It smelled a little funny and either that or the yellow color attracted - really, hundreds of flies and mosquitoes. The footprint is about the same size as the bottom of the tent so I shoved more under the tent itself. These are quality tent poles! I had only 1 tent pole splint though. I was happy for the splint. When I did get home I rinsed it off and aired it out completely. I had no condensation on my trip at all and it was very humid. The only thing I did not like was the zippers. Great video. This tent is a great value for a weight under 4 pounds, including the foot print!

@@SamC_ I've used in in temps around the mid 20's wearing wool tops and bottoms and was very toasty (also had a Klymit Insulated Static V). I think I could've been comfy at 15, or lower. It does shed a few feathers now and then, but I really love a quilt.

This is a great video for the Bryce tent. I've been comparing the Bryce to the Zion as I need to upgrade from my Wal-Mart tent soon! I was a little disappointed that you didn't have a video of any of your other tents besides the bryce (They're really aren't any good videos of the Zion on RU-vid that I could find). It looks like your RU-vid page isn't very active but if you were willing to make more videos it would be great to see your Zion and arches tents demonstrated like you did here with the Bryce. Maybe even a side-by-side of all 3!

This seems like a very good tent for its price point, to the degree that it seems too good to be true. How can Paria afford to undercut other lightweight competitors so low with a $160 tent? It just seems suspect to me.
@pariaoutdoorproducts
@pariaoutdoorproducts 8 лет назад
Thanks for your feedback Chris! One of the main reasons that we are able to offer such a great price point is the fact that we are direct-to-consumer. We manufacture our products and sell directly to our customers, bypassing the typical retail markup that is needed to sell at retailers such as REI or other online e-commerce sites. Retail markups are often 50-100 percent, meaning that our tent would be selling somewhere in the $250 to $300 range if we sold it at a retailer. We are also a small company with lean operations and are able to operate profitably with smaller margins. We pass those savings to the consumer. I hope that clears things up, but please let us know if you have any other questions.

Chris Thiel I purchased their 15 degree down sleeping bag and I used it on a two night trip with temps around 30°f and was more than satisfied with the quality and warmth. Great product for half the price of similar name brand down bags. I'm thinking about ordering this tent next with no worries about its quality.

bought this tent a month ago and used it for the first time on a big sir camping trip. it rained for a solid 12 hours straight and the tent stayed 100% dry on the inside. my only gripe is that the vestibule area is a bit small. other than that. best tent ive had in awhile.

@@zack.hughes hey Zack I was considering ordering one of these in the next few days, how has the tent held up for you? And how small is the vestibule? Are you able to get in and out during rain and not soak the inside?
