Harnesses are only safe if you have a helmet with a neck brace on. If you crash wearing a harness your body will not move from the seat but your neck will snap forward really hard. Just a heads up. Edit: it’s also a 4 point harness which are more dangerous than a 5 point because in the case of a collision you don’t have a strap in between your legs to stop you from sliding down out of the bottom of the harness. This means when you crash the harness can’t hold you properly in place and the lap belt can dig into your stomach causing some bad internal damage.

The hotdogs matches the color of the car, and it reminds you to have fun and be goofy, and last time I checked it’s Robbies car, while yes we subscribe to his videos and he allows us to help him with decisions for his cars they are HIS cars and he should do what makes him happy. As subscribers we should want Robbie to enjoy his time so he’s in a better mood and makes better content for us.

for the airbag light, use a resistor on the seat harness to trick the system.

The airbag fault can be switched off if you install those small boxes in the plug of the airbag in the seat. they sell them on ebay for cheap(universal for every car)

Hey Robbie, I have the belts in a safe way without the harness bar. You could clip the ends to the OEM points with ring headed bolts. They're safe and great solution. Nice seats by the way. Moved me a step closer to adjustable buckets.

For the airbag light you just need to install a resistor. Splash makes one. Just look up Splash airbag light fix and it will l be gone. It creates continuity in the system and will insure remaining airbags work in event of a crash!

You could do with some resistors in the airbag connectors for seats, you can get resistors with fuses so if the airbag is triggered the fuse pops before the resistor gets very hot. Also, keep the hot dogs!

To get rid of the air bag light you could just remove your gauge cluster and remove the bulb that lights up the air bag light

There is an adaptor where it shorts the airbag light out. It connects under the seats.

3.33ohm resistor wired into the factory air bag harness on the steering wheel will get rid of that light on the dash

If you’re going with the harness belts... Best to put in a roll bar/cage. If you ever roll the car on its roof and the roof collapses, you’re stuck in an upright position in the seats! Not safe!

I think you could make a cool video of installing the old BRZ seats in the trunk of Genesis and driving around the parking lot or something facing the wrong way, you could just mount them to some wood instead of the actual trunk too.

Hey mate have you tried a resistor in the air bag connector to trick the restraint module to thinking there is an airbag in the wheel? i think its usually a 2.2 ohm or 7 ohm might do it. be worth checking.
