BRZ Glass fog light upgrade

idk if i want to go catless. I have been looking at the FT86 speed factory UEL headers though if you want to help with that i'd be down!

Knocking the cat out gives you a slight power bump before 'the dip' and gobs more after. There's a 'local' down in CT who flashes the OFT maps for free, so you can easily try that first. The FT86SF header is really pricey for the gains, though is a good fitting part. I'd strongly suggest going catless in the header, you'll still have a cat in the front pipe, so it won't be stinky, you'll still have one, and you won't be paying for a component you really don't need. Just my opinion! :)

Fair point about the price. I haven't started really shopping yet because it will be a while before I start modding this car but I really want that UEL sound!

Then I definitely recommend the JDL header. It's easily the highest quality UEL option, and not much more than most of the mid range options. It's the only one that will retain value and make the most power while it's doing it! The ACE is the best header, without a doubt, but it's EL, and is priced as the best header for sure lol.

They sure are! Same fitment across first gen Crosstreks too.

Hi Adam, apologies for the delay. Amber is a little tough, as it's more of an orange/low voltage color. Yellow is usually a tint or paint on the bulb itself. I had a yellow Nokya PSX24w I bought off eBay. It looked great, and was slightly higher wattage. Unsure if they were actually brighter. The upgrade however, was WAY brighter. More than double the wattage, and better optics/lens. :) Hope that helps!

Hey John, apologies for the delay. They are more than twice the wattage with improved optics. The best PSX24W I could find before was barely more than visible on the road. The upgraded setup with bright and visually impactful. I aligned them so the strong part of the beam met at the base of the HID's so visually it looked great. That said, you can always argue the effectiveness of fog lights, as they are largely an aesthetic improvement UNTIL it's super foggy. I noticed in mild fog the upgrade was not significant, but in heavy fog the upgrade was 8/10. A yellow HID upgrade for the fogs that allowed me to shut off the low beams would of been a 10/10 IMO.
