Hey Yuri, I noticed that you read stories and I read stories and maybe you'd like to collaborate on something like that? No pressure and no problem if you don't.
gonna mention cuz noone else seems to have, the Stone Tower Temple is implied to be older than the ikana kingdom, among other goofy writing decisions, getting the details entirely wrong from the get go is the one that stuck out most XP
"It seemed to me that this tower was almost a sort of mockery- a Colin Mochrie? to the very foundation we have built our civilization on: Drew Carey." fucking fantastic
@@Hats502 To be honest, when I played on the N64, I assumed Epona could hop right over the same gate he closed. That would have been hilarious to see that.
The most disturbing thing about this Zelda creepypasta is the repeated use of "mah boi." We're going to get a "squadallah" any moment... I can feel it.
Is this a story based on the Ikana canyon and the origin of Majora? I was waiting for them to buy a used game at a cursed yardsale and got confused. Not even a mention of hyper realistic blood! It was really nice seeing a different type of story for storytime c:
Yeah, this one seems to be trying to emulate the in-universe style of Happiness For Sale, a legitimately good and stomach-turning pasta that details a child having a first-person encounter with the Happy Mask Salesman. During which _absolutely nothing bad happens whatsoever_ I promise. Unfortunately this one has its moments but misses the mark.
Geez it legit makes me smile the fact you’re still doing this series I remember playing minecraft and listening to your early bs creepy pasta story times
I have to say I appreciate the author’s creativity in fleshing out the lore of the Stone Tower Temple but it seems really strange that they would present it as a creepypasta rather than as fanfiction
I like when the creepypasta is just thinly veiled and poorly constructed fanlore. I will not be adopting this headcanon for builder guy's backstory, thank you Author-kun. (Hope you're doing well, Yuri! Always good to see you back in action - everyone's favourite bad story warrior.)
I haven’t watched you for 7 years and now all of a sudden you’re on my feed! Your voice is so different! I love this new video. Time to binge everything to catch up with 7 years of videos!!
i can understand what the author was trying to do; they wanted to be all mysterious about the setting but they somehow put too many descriptors and yet not enough. they went into agonizing detail about the layout of the area but didn't really give any hint about the mood or any feeling in response to anything. it was utterly tedious
There's only one other creepypasta I've heard of that does this sort of in-universe style, it's called Happiness For Sale. I'd hazard a guess the author read that one and tried to do the same thing with the discovery of _the_ mask.
I can’t fathom why the decision was made to have the Stone Tower being built before the events of the game, but still after Ikana Castle was abandoned. Shouldn’t they have been built by the same people?
Come for the dumb stories, stay for the endslates...seriously though, these readings help me relax when I'm feeling overwhelmed. Thank you for all the laughs and stress-relief, always excited seeing a new video pop up :3c
fuck yes a bullshit creepypasta storytime the day before me and my friends go to out yearly halloween-related party. impeccable timing and incredible video, yuri! hope ur doing well :D
This could've been a cool fanfic about how the men building Ikana Tower went mad or whatever. But throwing in Majora kind of ruined it. It's a shame because the writing isn't bad.
@@Yuriofwind Exactly! I always felt like Majora was an alien presence that was completely unrelated to Termina's history. =/ They could have had some of the builders go missing because of the Garo, disappear into the castle or down the well, etc. Also, the idea of the Stone Tower being built a couple decades prior is really stupid.
And rpg mechanics, lets not forget being allergic to those. It's all about dem stickers, the next Paper Mario will be powered exclusively by NFT's, his greatest work :3.
Yuri I gotta be honest, I'm sick, and I've been slowly trying to watch this since it released and I just...I can't fuckin understand what's happening, and I can't tell if that's from the fever or the story. I'm so confused. Your words are going in one ear and out the other and I wish I could at least focus on drawing or something while this happens but I cannot. Thank you for the video, I will try to listen to it when I have the ability to focus like a human again.
The trick is to realize, because the story takes its time making it clear, that this whole story is actually _in-universe_ to Majora's Mask. It details, from a first-person perspective, a fan-made story about the people who built the Stone Tower (an actual location in the game) and how their expedition came to ruin when they stumble upon the actual mask of Majora. The intent seems to have been to create this creepy story of everyone in the expedition falling into madness except for a lucky few who escaped, sort of a slow-burn Lovecraft story set in the creepy universe of MM.
@@kiraina25 I get that, but the fever made it so all the words ran together and that whole sentences made no sense. The fever has sense broke, and I've listened to it more in whole, but it's still a confusing listen. I get the objective, it just...Isn't a very clear story.
Am I hearing this right? The story is about building the Stone Tower? If so, there's a problem with this story. The main character references ancient history about the Ikana Kingdom, and yet the Stone Tower is at least as old as the kingdom if not older. Oops!
To my shock everyone had heard noises. Oh my goodness, I am not hearing things? Those noises were real and everyone heard them, not just me? What a shocker.
I really need to watch more of your stuff, i've been subscribed to you ever since I was TheRealAsrielDreemurr and have only ever watched this series, completely ignoring Gaming Mysteries and your random grab bag topic videos :(
At this point I'm not even sure these are real stories written by real people, I'm convinced it's just Yuri incoherently rambling the vivid fragmented recollections of his hallucinatory dreams. Tom's death at the hands of a Sonic plushie wasn't your fault, Yuri, you have to let go.
Honestly, like. I do genuinely enjoy the Concept behind this but the dude should have just posted this as a fic on AO3 or some shit and not as a creepypasta. Like, it's a fun creative writing exercise sure, but be more transparent about the fact this is just a fanfic about the stone towers history! You'll still see some people taking the piss, but probably a Lot Less.
It All Yuri of wind voice I lay down in bed and relax and doze off and listen to Yuri of wind talk and why are they building stuff ? they the one who build the clock tower ?
"Majora. We're doing this for Majora." I swear, I've heard this line before in a better Zelda creepypasta... or maybe it *was* this one, back when I was subbed to SomeOrdinaryGamers and much younger and less critical of creepypastas? I don't remember.
