BS6 Honda WR-V | Drive Impressions 

A well detailed review containing most of the right things of the car. IMO Honda WRV is a no nonsense , practical, spacious and frugal car which might not perform like an enthusiast's car, but ticks most of the things right. Diesel engine though noisy, has enough grunt and good low speed torque. Designers at Honda have mastered the art of packaging that's why they are unbeatable in space management. Overall a fine car with subjective looks . Maintenance is low and diesel engine reliability is no concern as it is performing glitch free since 2014.

Honda wrv has a smart pedal breaking system. Which is basically Brake override is also known as a smart pedal. In these brake systems, sensors recognize when the gas pedal and brake pedal are being pressed at the same time. They also recognize that this isn't how people normally drive, and that something is going wrong. The car's central computer then has a variety of ways it can slow the car down safely. This technology first used by BMW 750.

Just a tip for Hand Rest (front)... ADD one support from bottom (Rubber like) to raise it as per your comfort. It will not show but there will be some gap and it won't close completely, but arm rest will be useful

the only problem with honda wrv and ford ecosport is major updates....... although ecosport still has a better build quality than any in this segment and diesel engine is a beast, both needs major makeover. Ps: Owner of fordecosport....and love driving it

very good review. you are right - this is cheapest car having sunroof. (soon Jazz is coming with sunroof, which will be cheaper than WRV). touchscreen: this is digipad 2 which is way better than digipad 1 (which was available on WRV2017-2019). Your test car is having screen guard, that may be the reason you didn't feel it better. i personally have seen, driven & felt this WRV BS6 , so i m sure. Petrol: 1.2 i-vtec feels slow especially when loaded with 5 occupants. 1.5l engine from City will be best suited for this car of 1110kg kerb wt. Diesel: 1.5 i-dtec is really good in driveablity, only problem is the loud noise inside. mileage: i have seen WRV petrol giving more than 20kmpl & WRV diesel giving more than 28kmpl on hinghways. so these numbers are the best in segment. The biggest USP of this car is space management based on Honda's 4m startegy. it is just awesome.
